General Discussion / House Battery Monitor Cable Routing
« on: March 04, 2023, 05:53:01 pm »
I am going to install a battery SOC (State Of Charge) monitor in my 2015 2552.
I like to keep track of the batteries when we're dry camping.

I'm planning on installing the gauge next to the battery disconnect switch.

I would like to know your thoughts or experience on where to route the cable from the shunt to the gauge.
I don't really want to drill a hole through the floor under the sink (beside the hot water heater) if I don't need to.

Thanks in advance for any input you may have on this topic.

Safe travels!
Stan

I found these online:

Tips and Tricks / Kwikee Steps Won't Stay Out
« on: May 04, 2022, 01:02:53 pm »
For the record and to possibly help someone in the future.

On the "new to us" 2015 Phoenix Cruiser 2552 the steps would ONLY follow the door no matter how the Door Switch on the wall was set.

We wanted the steps to stay out while parked, like they are designed to do.

To make a very long story short, someone installed the wrong switch in the door frame. My steps need a Normally Open switch. (When the door is open and the switch is at rest the circuit is OPEN.)
The switch installed was Normally Closed. [The N/O and N/C switches look the same you need to use an Ohm Meter to be sure which one you have.]
Apparently, the person who installed the incorrect switch switched the power wires on the motor to make it stop working backwards.  pyho
ie with the motor leads correctly wired if you opened the door the steps would retract and when you closed the door the steps would extend.

So, with the incorrect switch and the motor wires swapped the steps will only follow the door.

If you see this behavior CHECK THE DOOR SWITCH..

This is the Normally Open switch I ordered:

General Discussion / Alarm system reset?
« on: March 01, 2022, 07:02:23 pm »
Do any of you have an aftermarket anti-theft device on your cruiser?
If so, was it installed at PC? How do you reset it?
I can't get my 2004 2350 to start and I think it may be the aftermarket anti-theft device.
I have no documentation on it, I cannot even figure out what brand it is.

This all seems to stem from a mama squirrel making her nest in front of the left wheel well under the hood.
While there she decided to munch on several of the non-factory wires there. I think some may have been the anti-theft device.  pyho

Any thoughts or suggestions will be welcome.
(I have checked all the normal things like fuel pump, battery, etc.)

Thanks,
Stan

General Discussion / Do you know anyone who wants to buy a PC?
« on: February 17, 2022, 04:42:49 pm »
I just listed our 2004 2350 PC on FB marketplace.
If you know anyone wanting to get a first motorhome without spending a lot of money, this may be just what they need.
Asking $35,900 .
We love our PC and want to move up to a bit newer 2551.

Search for 2004 Phoenix Cruiser in Wichita, Kansas to find the listing.

Tips and Tricks / 5 Star Tune
« on: November 02, 2020, 05:33:43 pm »
Bought the 5Star tune for my 2004 Phoenix Cruiser 2350. It is the 2 valve V10 with 4 speed transmission.
We pull a 2000 Wrangler TJ for the toad.
Just got back from a 600 mile round trip from central Kansas to the Ozarks and back.
The 5 Star tune made a major improvement especially on hills. I can actually speed up going up a big hill.
Shift points seem better and smoother.
Engine seems to run a bit cooler.
Like others have said, it is much easier to get up to speed when merging on to the interstate.
Engine seems to run smoother and quieter.

Glad I got the tune!  2o2

General Discussion / Vehicle monitoring
« on: December 14, 2019, 05:20:57 pm »
For those of you that have vehicle monitors like Fixd or ScanGauge 2 or something similar, what parameters do you monitor and why did you choose those?
I want to set up a monitor and am thinking of what to monitor.
Thanks in advance.

General Discussion / User Manual for 2004 2350
« on: October 24, 2019, 05:53:11 pm »
I scanned to pdf the Phoenix user manual for the 2004 2350.
If anyone wants a copy let me know and I can send it to you via Facebook Messenger or email.
Unfortunately, the file is too big to upload here.

General Discussion / 2004 PC 2350 colors of the decals
« on: October 10, 2019, 11:22:29 pm »
Does anyone know the color names of the decals on the 2004 2350?
I want to touch up and/or paint to re-create the missing decals on my PC.
Thanks,
Stan
