Adventure Anywhere / Alaska in 2012
« on: September 25, 2011, 09:39:11 am »
We're in the planning stage of a solo safari to Alaska leaving in May, 2012. Mandatory stops along the way will be Lincoln, NE, Littleton, CO, Salt Lake City, UT and the Banff/Lake Louise area. Consequently, we'll probably not reach Dawson Creek until late June/early July.

Any guidance/suggestions from someone having made a recent trip will be appreciated. Things such as identifying paved roads, roads to avoid and touring tips will be thankfully received and considered.

We want to see this great state but prefer to not experience damage while doing so.

Thanks in advance.

General Discussion / Phoenix register?
« on: April 21, 2011, 06:43:08 am »
Is there a Phoenix Cruiser register or list of owners by name/coach model/serial number/year/location/contact number?
I ask because when we had our Alpine the list helped a few people out when they had an issue.
In one particualr case an owner lost air pressure to the driveline brake and another listed owner was able to save him towing & repair cost by going to where he was and replacing a fitting.

Might something like this be useful?

General Discussion / Our new Cruiser
« on: March 18, 2011, 09:29:06 am »
We just returned from Phoenix Cruiser where we traded-in our 2007 2350 for a lightly used 2010 2551.
Aside from being more appropriate for our needs, the 2551 is in excellent condition and the longer wheelbase seems to provide a slightly smoother and quieter ride. As for power; the lower ratio differential of the E450 has proven a bit of a surprise in that once in high gear, it does not downshift unless on a significant hill (much less frequently than our 2350 did). Additionally, although the engine revolutions are higher at 65, miles per gallon are only marginally less than our 2350 on the E350 chassis. We are thrilled with our 2551.

Now a word about the fine folks at Phoenix Cruiser:
Having bought many vehicles and more than a few Motorhomes in my lifetime, I can truthfully say I have never experienced a more friendly, responsive or accommodating group of people than those at Phoenix. They prepared the 2551 very well prior to our arrival, ran us through the inspection/demonstration process and got us on our way in short order (we were pressed for time). The few little things I questioned were addressed immediately and with good spirit.

Although Stuart was at the Georgia show, his daughter, Amanda, was efficient, very pleasant and welcoming. Fortunately, we also met a few others while there and the “Team spirit” was evident everywhere.

Kudos to all at Phoenix and they can count on us to spread the word about a fine organization producing a fine product.

Has anybody installed air shocks on an E350 chassis?

General Discussion / Higher lights
« on: September 06, 2010, 08:58:38 am »
I'd like to add LED Stop/Signal/Run lights higher in the rear of our PC.
In order to do so, I'll have to run 3 wires per side between the rear cap and inner bulkhead up to about mid-way of the rear window's height.
Does anybody know if there is a clear path to do that?

Thanks in advance.

General Discussion / Replacement driving lights
« on: July 18, 2010, 08:40:10 pm »
Model:
2007 (on a 2006 chassis) 2350 PC.
The interior of one of my driving lights flaked off and the entire light must be replaced.
Unfortunately, although I looked and searched many places, I did not find replacements that will properly fit the mounting brackets.
Does anybody know what brand they are and where I can get a replacement (or a set)?

Any help will be appreciated.

Adventure Anywhere / Best-kept secret
« on: June 29, 2010, 12:24:37 pm »
Phoenix Cruiser has got to be 1 of the best-kept secrets in the RV world. We have been asked many, many times about our 2350. No-one has heard of them and all seem to be taken by them. Actually, a number of people have asked to take a peek at the interior and, in the process, I pointed out the fit and finish. This seemed to impress a lot of folks because they were comparing it to theirs.

Since we are so happy with our decision to downsize from a DP, it is easy for us to expound on the merits of our PC.
