General Discussion / Cracked Cab
« on: March 30, 2022, 09:02:13 am »
Has anyone had the top of the cab crack where the front cap is fastened?

General Discussion / Black Tank Valve
« on: December 05, 2021, 08:41:21 am »
If my black tank valve fails, can I just leave it open and use the third valve at the outlet? My macerator does not work so I always dump using a sewer hose. If I replace the black tank valve, do I have to use a Bristol valve or can I use a Valterra?

Has anyone been able to get a service appointment at the factory this fall?

General Discussion / AGM/SLA Batteries
« on: December 31, 2020, 09:09:50 am »
I've replaced my flooded lead acid batteries with SLA (Sealed Lead Acid Batteries). As I understand, SLA batteries and AGM batteries have pretty much the same charge rates. I have the multi stage converter which is SLA/AGM compatible for charging, my solar controller is set for SLA/AGM charging, but my 2017 Ford E350 alternator is charging the batteries at a constant 14.4 volts. Is that a little high? I don't think there's any adjustment on the engine alternator? The factory offers both flooded lead acid and agm batteries but I don't think they make any adjustments for charging the different batteries. The only adjusting I think that can be done is on the back of the solar controller.

General Discussion / Batteries
« on: November 04, 2020, 06:42:41 am »
You can get a PC with flooded wet cell batteries or AGM batteries, I got the wet cell and am replacing them with AGM. A friend said I'll have to change settings on the chassis alternator, the inverter, and solar controller. I can find nothing about this in my manuals. I called the factory and was basically told the settings were the same for both batteries. Does anyone know?

Has anyone had the screws that hold the slide out  rails to the slide out start to pull out?

General Discussion / Product Information
« on: August 26, 2020, 09:49:14 am »
Looking at the floor plans on the web site, the 2400 is totally wrong. The STD 2400 in 2018 had the large electric sofa next to the double door closet, both the sofa and the closet were in the slide. It was a large slide providing a large living room in the coach. Across from that was 2 lounge chairs with a small pull out table. We opted for a full dinette instead of the 2 chairs in our 2400. The floor plan shown on this site shows a small slide with dinette, across from that are the 2 chairs. There is no bed in this floor plan, I doubt  that one has ever been built. We have friends who like our 2400 but tell us the floor plan shown on this site is totally different. I've pointed this out before on this forum and it was missed by the company or simply fell on deaf ears. Also the 2100 and 2400 always had 23 gal. black and 35 gal grey, the current specs are just the opposite, I assume that the tanks are still the same and the new site has the wrong specs. That makes a huge difference on your dumping schedule. If you're not going to order a 2400 you probably don't care, but the 2400 is one of only 2 coaches that offer a large living room, a few of us still like that floor plan. Just more confusion and inaccurate information.  PC NEEDS TO KNOW ITS PRODUCT BETTER.

General Discussion / Slide Opening
« on: January 18, 2020, 10:06:16 am »
Look under the slide, there's an opening, a slot with 2 rubber flaps on each side, it's there so the slide can pass by a wiring harness when put in and out, It doesn't seal out the outside. Critters can get inside the rv, mice, spiders, snakes. Is it possible, or has anyone ever rerouted the wires so that opening can be closed up?

General Discussion / Norcold
« on: December 14, 2019, 08:55:28 pm »
My Norcold fridge door has fallen off for the 2'nd time in 20 months. I'm on the road for the winter and have been held up for 3 wks waiting for a new door. Don't tell me i'm putting to much  weight in the door, we keep almost nothing in it since it broke the first time. I looked up norcold problems and the PC forum came up,
this was 2013. The shop that has my door on order said it will be no better than the last 2 that broke. I called Norcold customer service and was told the same thing, new door will have the same problem, they wouldn't warranty my broke door because it's been over a yr since the last one broke. I called another motorhome builder and they have used nothing but Dometic for yrs with no issues. They said they have heard of Norcod problems. If Norcold problems are common knowledge in the industry, including PC, why is PC still putting them in there motorhomes? I know the PC faithful will say the fridge is not PC's problem but why do they use them when they know they're poor quality?

General Discussion / Quality
« on: February 12, 2019, 08:27:10 am »
I've been reading old posts. turns out I'm not the only one disappointed in PC quality. I see another owner checked the capacity of the 23 gal tank and came up with 17. Why doesn't PC change that information? I also noticed a lot of problems with maceorator and dump valves. PC is the only builder that uses this. Can anyone tell me what the benefits of an electric dump valve are? I unhooked one of mine and it's faster and trouble free plus you can feel if the valve is working freely. I think anyone who ordered a PC last year was left in Limbo. When I ordered, not one suggestion was made about options or custom work, not even a mention about the spare tire being an option. Turns out both salesmen quit and new buyers were on there own. I expected better.

General Discussion / Small Black Tank
« on: February 06, 2019, 10:46:56 pm »
My 2400 has the black tank rated at 23 gallons, it's actual capacity is 17 gallons. We can go for 5 days without dumping then it is FULL. We've been on the road since Nov. 21 and having to plan around dumping the black tank is a hassle. If I had the macerator removed it looks like a larger black tank could be installed. I have no real need for the macerator, it's not even functional at the moment. I would have PC do the work. Is this mod possible? Since the original tank is 6 gallon smaller than advertised, I'd ask for the tank and labor be done under warranty. Does this sound doable.

General Discussion / Standard vs Option

The owners who have the double door closet, do you have a factory light in the closet? Did it come that way or was it an option?

General Discussion / Tank Sprayers
« on: January 04, 2019, 08:57:48 pm »
After dumping I turn the black valve, then turn on the water to flush the black tank. you can here the water spraying inside the tank. Tried this a while back, I heard a pop and the water stopped spraying. I looked in the black tank and water was running in but not spraying around. Yesterday the same thing happened to the gray tank sprayer, what gives?
