Found this site on freecampsites.net. The views were gorgeous but the bugs were off the charts. I was there in June.

General Discussion / Battery wiring diagram for PC2100 (2008)
« on: October 20, 2015, 10:56:05 pm »
Hi all,
Does anyone have any good pics of the battery wiring in the 2100, or a diagram? I got 2 new batteries today and am unsure he wired them the same way they were. Also, what component in my system is the likely culprit for boiling them dry? I'd like to avoid that again.

Thanks
Gail

I really loved this park. This was taken during a recent Loners On Wheels campout. Next one is on the opposite shore on 2/27/15.

General Discussion / Swapping out the inverter...
« on: December 17, 2014, 08:47:13 pm »
Hi all, I use a lot of electronic gadgets and I am a bit afraid of the MSW inverter in my PC Cruiser. I had my first ever hard drive failure while plugged into it, and have had issues with the new laptop. So I am thinking of swapping it out with a pure sine wave model. Any one else ever do this?

General Discussion / Levelers being balky
« on: December 15, 2014, 10:23:17 pm »
I looked in my manual but didn't see anything about this....  When I try to use the levelers, I put the rv in park with the engine running and turn on the system. When I press the arrow for the jack I want to extend, the red light by the power button, which had been steady, blinks and the jacks don't move. I'll try it again and again, and eventually after a few minutes, the jacks will extend.  It used to be that as soon as I wanted to level it would work, this delay is a new thing.  Storing the jacks works as it always did. Any ideas?

This dirt road is not really recommended for RV's. A couple people told me I could do it no problem but it was beyond my comfort zone in a few places. I dragged the hitch carrier a few times, and ripped the wiring socket off. :-(  Ah well, it was a gorgeous drive.

General Discussion / Battery store switch
« on: April 17, 2014, 12:14:47 pm »
Hi all,
On Friday I got 2 new Deka DC27 house batteries installed in my 2008 PC2100.  I of course always use the "Store" switch to disconnect everything when I put it back in storage.  I usually have a solar charge controller hooked up (it just clips to the batteries, not hardwired) as the old batteries were shot and would only last a couple days before they were dead.  They were the original 2008 batts so not too surprising.  I intentionally did not reconnect the solar after I got the new batteries as I wanted to see how they'd look after sitting a few days.  Well, I checked yesterday (Weds) and they were down to 12.1!!  After only 5 days?  I was not happy.  So my question is, does that "Store" switch actually disconnect everything from the batteries or is some stuff still attached?  How could I find out what might be draining them?  Even if I didn't use the Store button it seems like that's not right as everything is off.  Inverter is off (and that plug Ron found that goes to the switch is pulled), fridge is off, water heater is off, all the lights are off....  I guess it's possible I got a dud battery but they tested them right in front of me so I find that a little hard to believe.

Thanks
Gail

General Discussion / 31" TV?
« on: February 10, 2014, 02:20:48 pm »
Hi all, I see the new Cruisers come with a 31" TV.  Can anyone tell me the make & model?  I'm considering replacing mine.  I don't watch much tv at all but when I do I'd like to be able to actually see it.   :)

Hi all, turns out a Coleman Quickbed SUV air mattress fits like it was made for it. I was using memory foam but that stuff takes up so much room. So far I like this way better. Except for the plastic smell. That'll go away eventually tho....
