General Discussion / Ignition beeping on sprinter

O.K. we have 2,537 miles on our 2350 Sprinter (2013) and I am just getting around to setting the clock and radio stations .... no need to rush  but here is the thing, since we have owned this unit we have this series of beep beep beep, beep beep beep when you shut the engine off. We DID NOT have that with our 2012 - 2350 sprinter and we have no idea what it is. Thought it might be leaving the keys in ... nope ... nothing lights up indicating anything ..... anyone else have that beeping after shutting the engine off ?

Can not find anything in the manual explaining a thing ... we are stumped.

General Discussion / Water Leaking Out

We just took the 2350 out for the second time. Fresh water had been filled up on our last trip when we got home but when we arrived at the campground Wednesday and checked the tanks the fresh water was reading empty (????) even though we had filled her up before we left home ...so when we were leaving the park the next morning Vince filled up the fresh water tank to the 2/3 mark but  by the time we got home traveling only 156 miles when we pulled in the driveway we had only 1/3 of the fresh water left.

We had someone flag us down a month ago to let us know that water was pouring from our RV ...  we noticed water marks coming down from the where the fresh water goes in ... checked the area, the cap was on tight but you could see water had flowed out and it was wet.

We secured the cap tight and we can still see water marks coming down from the rv in that same spot where the fresh water goes in.

I swear I could hear water dripping in the middle of the night in the wall ... but ... there is no wet spot on the ground where anything could be dripping out ???????

Any suggestions .... we totally do not have a clue !!!!

General Discussion / Shower Pan

Took our 2350 in today for a new shower pan .... it was cracked when we brought her home ... but those things happen .... just drained in more then one place when we took her out for the shake down trip ! 

Has anyone designed or added a bath towel holder to the shower  ... I hate the thought of holes anywhere.

Thought about one that is retractable and putting it in the shower somehow and I see some people hanging their wet towels out on the arms of the awnings  but I figure there must be a better way ... help !

Ohhhhhh life is so hard

General Discussion / Heat Strip or Furnace

Question ... being from Florida and being as we are pretty new to the RV thing (2nd Year), we took our 2350 out last week for a shake down trip to Ocala (Central Florida). Well in the middle of the night I woke up and felt like an ice cube !!!

Being as we rarely use out heat at home and being as we are not real familiar with a heat strip or furnace, "Vince" has a couple of questions:
#1 Do you only use the furnace if you are dry camping ... and does it only work off the propane ??
#2 The heat strip on the a/c thermostat is used only when you are connected in a park with electric ???

I ended up just putting a heavy blanket on. It was only in the mid to high 40's but for these two Florida transplants since childhood,  it was pretty eye opening in the middle of the night !!

I could feel the cold soaking through the wall and window "ON MY SIDE" of the bed .... While Mr. Sunshine next to me snored away totally unaware of anything  !!!

Hopefully this cold stuff will go away soon and we won't have to deal with it, but just in case .... HELP !!

General Discussion / Awning on 2350

We have the electric awning on the 2350 ..... but once the awning is extended are you suppose to anchor the front down in some way so it is not vunerable to a gust of wind or blowing away ?
It just seems like it is hanging out asking to be ripped off.
