If I should forget to flip the toggle switch in the cabin or pull the fuse (I flip a switch under the hood) the car still starts up but the dash looks like a light show going on.  The ScanGuage clears the codes easily and I have had to do it a few times so yes the same codes get reset.  If the car is dead period the pump activation is just drawing the battery down if there is no hot wire to keep it charged.  Before I had a hot wire to the Jeep the battery would be dead in about 7 hours depending on how much the BrakeBuddy was working.

Tall Guy:   My 2014 Cherokee was recalled for the “death wobble”  when being towed four down.  My switch to energize the power steering system when being towed is in the center console and a 20 amp fuse under the hood (i bypassed the fuse pulling by installing a thumb switch).   If I do not de-energize the system before starting the engine I will set all kinds of dash lights off.  I then use my ScanGuage do clear the codes.  If you have not run a a 12V hot line from the coach connected thru a battery tender box on the Jeep you need to do that since having the power steering pump on uses a fair amount of power.  Not sure what year Jeep you have since I know their approach to handling the issue has changed since 2014-15.  Best of luck. Do not start the Jeep before you shut power off to the pump!

It has been a very long time since I changed the furl filter on the E series and perhaps the set up has changed but I recall the little release tool that you had to use on the pressure fittings was a pain!   Make sure you have that tool!

I  would drain it out again without starting the motor.  Once you start the engine everything is going to get circulated. I would not worry to much to be honest!   Drain it, fill her up again and forget about it.

I would agree with the majority of posters....KN filters are a waste and can do more harm than good.  I have used them on 3  E450ís and on a Sprinter and so zero improvement in performance or MPG on any of the applications. I would stick to a paper filter of good quality (Wix, Napa, Baldwin) and change more frequently.   If a Sprinter diesel gets a hit of oil thru the intake you can really do some damage.  Best of luck.

Jam4travel:   I hear what you are saying loud and clear. I must ask if you checked the passenger door frame for a very small yellow sticker with all weights listed?  I missed it on my 3100.  Having been a very happy 3100 owner in the past I must say I was always concerned about the GVW.  With that said,  on multiple occasions when I was reasonably loaded I had the coach weighted and while very close I never ran overweight.  I did not have dual pain windows or liquid springs that I am sure together would have pushed me over the GVW.  There is no question the F450 needs to be utilized in all longer class C/B coaches

Kermit Fisher did what he had to do during the very tough times during the late 90ís and he was able to keep his great little company going when many folded.  Times do change and today game is volume period, get the units out the door.  The demand for new and innovative coaches is great and very expensive for sure.  I am sure there was a price to pay for the exclusive rights to sell PCís on CI part.  All I will say is the price will go up, the quality will go down, and the service supplied by Campers Inn leaves a lot to be desired!  I do hope PC is making the right decision that only time will tell.  Again, hats off to Kermit and the crew.

Having had both a 2551 and a 3100 I found the E-450 (especially the longer wheel based 3100) to be a very decent handling chassis.  With that said I always had concerns about being over weight, having weighed the rig a couple of times I found both axles to be very close to max.  I just do not understand why nanafacturers including PC do not bite the bullet and move up to the F series chassis  and eliminate the worry on the larger coach models?  The weight issue was the driving reason why I moved up to the Freightliner M2HD chassis, no worries now.

Not sure there is much you can do Lynn
to prevent what has happened. It is what is in the tank that plugs the jets.  You might try some tank cleaner additive but I am afraid it is the nature of the beast.  Good luck

The jets are plugged. There are three screws thatís hold the fixture in the tank. Disconnect the water supply line to the fixture.  Remove and clean the jets.  Use clear silicon to create a good seal  between tank and fixture when you reinstall .  Do not over tighten the screws!  Very easy job, maybe 30 mins.  Not sure it will unplug itself but keep running high pressure water thru if you desire.  Good luck

I would agree that a more heavy duty tire would be helpful for the longer and heavier PCís but before I went to far I would want to know what the wheel rating might be?  Ford has some great engineers figuring load ranges, etc and I would wonder why they have chosen to not go with a heavier tire?
