Sharon,
We have a 2015 2552 and tow a 2012 Jeep Liberty. We use the NSA Ready Brute Elite tow bar, which has the built in mechanical brake.
This setup works very well for us.
There are some good videos on you tube showing the setup and use of this stsyem.
You will find all kinds of points of view on the best setup. Again, this works very well for us.

If it's a Norcold, there is a control board with all the electronics on it. Could be a flakey component. Unfortunately, the only way to know for sure is to swap out the board. It's about $100.

Sounds like a misbehaving alarm circuit. You may be able to shut it off. However, in my opinion I would want to know what is feeding the alarm circuit and find the problem point and fix that before it affects any other functions.

Is your refrigerator in a slide out? In my 2552 I found that the required deflector in the top of the slide out was missing. That allowed the hot air to just hang in the top instead of being deflected out the top vent panel. I added the deflector and added a second fan at the top to blow out the vent. those two improvements really made a difference for cooling.

If you are having problems on propane but not on electricity then be sure to check the burner orifice. They get dirty and cut down on the flame. You should be able to hear the flame roaring when it is using propane.

I will look for Keelhauler's diagram. I seem to recall seeing one from quite a while back.

I suspected that the relay may be on the back wall of the battery compartment. (I have not yet looked that closely in there.)
That may be a good spot to mount the shunt.

I think the main differences between the 2551 and 2552 are the extra foot in length, slide out pantry, and chair by the door (which we don't have in ours).

We're anxious to get back on the road!

Thanks for your reply.

The monitor I will use is one that will show me amperage and direction of flow (charging or discharging).
I had a monitor like this on our 2350 and decided to put one in our 2552. I like to see more than just the voltage on the batteries.

You have a good idea on running the cable alongside the battery disconnect switch. I will investigate that option.

I am going to install a battery SOC (State Of Charge) monitor in my 2015 2552.
I like to keep track of the batteries when we're dry camping.

I'm planning on installing the gauge next to the battery disconnect switch.

I would like to know your thoughts or experience on where to route the cable from the shunt to the gauge.
I don't really want to drill a hole through the floor under the sink (beside the hot water heater) if I don't need to.

I originally got the 5Star tune for my 2004 2350 and it worked great.

I had the 5Star Tune on our 2004 PC 2350 and then transferred the tune to our 2015 PC 2552. All the above remarks on the tune performance and management are spot on.
Worth every penny for the improved driving experience.

Ron, I considered something like what you did but we decided we wanted the charging ports closer to where we are when inside.
Also, the little USB fan you see in the last picture has a short cord and it is helpful to be able to move a little air more directly than the Fantastic fan does when boondocking.
