General Discussion / Re: Backup Camera Monitor Not Working

I replaced mine a few years ago with a wireless system from Tadi Brothers also. Works much better than that lousy rearview camera stuck in the rearview mirror. I took the old camera off the back and installed the monitor to the left of the driver on the dash. It is on all the time as I like to see when a slow Prius is trying to pass me lol.

We tow our 2010 mini convertible four wheels down with a brake buddy and wireless tow lights.  Been across country twice with it behind our 2552 and two kids.  Tows like a charm.  I have my backup camera on all the time instead of just in reverse so that I can see the car.  This also helps with watching vehicles behind me and in the passing lane. Good luck.

Well, it got me too. On both my my Phoenix and f250. Ford dealer said bring them in and will take care of, no issues.  Our local Ford Dealer deals with "big" trucks and has no problem bringing our Cruiser in and working on it.

You stick the ipod into the docking station.  Turn on the tuner and hit the function button until the word ipod appears.  Make sure the inverter is on.   Works great.

Funny you mention that.  We went from PA to Utah this summer.  Saw one other PC and that was in western PA.

I have found young teenagers fit well underneath the awning to change those screws.  Send a responsible young grandchild who thinks the world of his grandpa up there to do the change out.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.  I hope it all works out for you.

Insurance is a pain in the butt, trust me I know, I have been an agent for 20+ years.  If you have a 1000 ded like you say, I would lower that to a 100.  It will probably change your premium about 10 bucks every six months.  Well worth it.  It won't help this claim, but it will next time, especially with a window claim.

I would find a nice local agent with a different company whom you can call when you have issues such as the above.  I am an independent agent and represent many fine local and national companies.  We can beat any of those affinity programs, have better coverage, hold your hand when you want it and can get the claims dept jumping when needed.  You put so much money into your rv, you should make sure you have the right protection.

I will now put my soapbox away.....

Anne & Bob:

After I had my "aha" moment and found those running board lights on at night, I have not had a problem.  If you turn that dial switch down to nothing then the running board lights stay on about 5 seconds.  I have found that I can leave the mh stored in the garage all summer without a start problem.  In the winter, it is a different story.  I can go about 6 weeks before she won't start. The colder weather makes the batteries die faster.   One last thing to do is check to see if you have a dead cell in your battery with the tester.  With the crappy batteries being made today (in China) they tend to have quality control issues.

Happy camping.

Greg :

Glad you found the problem.

That problem followed me for about 6 months until I went into the garage at night by happenstance and saw that dang running board light on. It was an "aha" moment.

Greg:

On my old 2350 I found that the lights on the running board stayed on and drained my battery.  You could not notice it during daylight hours.  Only by dumb luck did I go out one night into my garage to see that they stayed on and never went off.  I don't remember if the problem was that I pushed the light switch on the dash or replaced the actual switch.  I think that I had a faulty switch....  Good luck.
