General Discussion / Re: Cut through a structural frame member?

That’s OK, when I was fixing water damage in my floor, I found one of the four generator support bolts hanging from Styrofoam and the plastic waterproof membrane only. I always wondered why the generator hung low at one corner…

We have a 2022 chassis that works just fine with the Garmin and the steering wheel controls. I’m not sure if there’s an interface module but I know there is a setting deep inside the Vieo to configure it to work with the Ford steering wheel. FYI.

General Discussion / Re: Setting up toad for flat towing
« on: November 25, 2023, 11:23:23 am »
If you want, clean and simple, look at the NSA product line. Towbar and breaking system are built into one.  When we towed our Jeep, our winch bumper had tow points, so I did not buy a base plate. Blue ox is my go to base plate for other vehicles though.

For lights, we installed separate LED bulbs in the tail, light fixtures and wired them to the front of the jeep.  Again, it’s clean and simple when you don’t need to get into the Jeep light wiring.

If your jeep does not have a steering lock, which most don’t, all you need to do is put the transfer case in neutral and go.  No key required.  If you choose a breaking system that requires power, then there’s a separate research effort required to figure out where to get that power while you’re towing.

We had one that would leak every time we used it. It had to be replaced. Not an easy job, but not a difficult one either. Just dealing with heavy stuff under the rig.

Ours had connectors under the couch for the motors. Check that one of them has not come apart.

I second the battery theory.

Good point, as mentioned by Joseph, I do run it dry after I put the stabilized fuel through the generator system. Just pull the temporary hose out of the bottle and let it run till it stops.

When I winterize the generator, I disconnect the fuel line from the main tank at the generator. Add a temporary fuel line and dip it in a bottle of stabilized fuel. Then I run that through everything, turn it off, put it back together, and don’t touch it till spring. So far, after many years, I have not had generator fuel related problems.

This is all crazy talk. Clearly, this is an inverted keel, and it is there for high speed, aerodynamics and handling.

I can’t be certain, but I would estimate about two years old.

We had similar issues in our 2016 2910. Had them repaired at a local body shop.

So I called DTV Tech support just now and they wanted to do what was mentioned here earlier - sell me an older model H24 or whatever DVR/Receiver for $105 plus tax and a $7 per month charge. We are headed to Arizona for possibly a couple months to help family so I might do it down there.

This is the correct DirectTV solution. It is what we have and it works just fine except you have standard definition, not high DEF.

I would waste ZERO time on the bullet sensor systems.  The See Level system works great and is an affordable and relatively simple install.
