Oh, don't get me wrong. When I drove my 2552 off the lot, I thought it handled fairly well. But I figured if I could get it better I would. In the past I bought a used 34 ft class A that was about 12 years old. I fought with it on trips and thought it was normal. After trading it in for my 2350, I was happy with the handling of the Mercedes but figured it could be better. A year later I got my 2552 and decided to get it checked out by experts and the difference was noticeable. Pre modifications the drive was OK but I'm glad I put the additions on. One of these days if I ever get the videos put on youtube, you'll be able to see the difference from the underside. I have the before and after videos, I just need to get them out there for you to see.

My 2552 handled fairly well out the door but knew improvements could be made. Living in Ohio, I went to a Henderson trained shop near Cleveland and they did the road test as well. I had them install Roadmaster anti sway bars. I also had them put on Koni shocks, sumo springs and a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer. They weighed each corner and it was similar to weights others have posted. These are with holding tanks empty:
LF-2160, RF-2100
LR-3820, RR-3780
They recommended 65-70psi in each tire.
After these additions the ride and handling was much improved. They even mounted a camera under the carriage and recorded before and after images. The factory sway bars looked like wet noodles at times. I'm definitely happy I went through the process.

I've only been there once and it was quite a while ago but we stayed at Fort Wilderness and loved it. We were able to go back in the middle of the day so the kids could rest or swim and then hit the parks again at night. The break was a real benefit. As soon as my granddaughter is old enough, grandpa is planning on spoiling her with a trip. Can't wait.
As far as how much in advance you need to make reservations, I'm not completely sure but it might be 9-12 months advance is needed if not more.

Well, I'm finally taking my 2552 in for new tires on the recall. Decided also to add internal tire pressure monitors from Valor while they have the tires off anyways. I had one tire blow out on a previous MH so these will give me a little peace of mind. After the sub zero weather and snow we just had, had to charge up the battery and dig out to be able to pull it out of its storage spot. Hopefully all goes well.

I'm not sure why the Ford dealer didn't want to do, probably as you said they just wanted to pass it on. The RV service I spoke is a Michelin dealer, I was just the first one to contact them about the recall so they want to talk to Michelin first before setting anything up.
As far as rotating, I'm leaning toward not rotating and changing the flex extensions out for the solid ones. The way I look at it is less of a chance for air leakage and I'll probably need to change them before the tread is worn due to the age of the tire.

Finally went and checked my tires, looks like I'm in the recall. Called my Ford dealer and they don't have a lift to handle the PC so they recommended a nearby RV repair station. Called them and they're checking into what they need to do but sounds like it will be painless.
Bob, I had one of the flex lines leak for me, took it to a tire place and they worked on it and stopped it, they said it is common with the flex extensions. So I am thinking of the solid extensions myself. Only bad thing I've heard is you won't be able to rotate the tires unless you go through the expense of re-mounting the tires each time you rotate. So still thinking about it.

Thanks for the heads up. I need to go to my storage area and check the tires, it's time to start the rig up anyways. May need to use my snow shovel though, we just had 9 inches of snow with 2-3 more expected tomorrow. I really need to just get away but I hate to leave my granddaughter. decisions, decisions...

It's a tight fit. You need to slide the seat all the forward and then tip the back forward. You should be able to turn it then. After you get it turned you can tip the back to a better position.

I need to agree with ragoodsp, you will find many opinions on this subject. There are older discussions discussing this very subject. But for my 2 cents, I have owned both the MB sprinter under a 2350 and my current 2552 with the Ford 450. I have added suspensions upgrades to the ford as ragoodsp did. My preference for ride and handling is the 450. Sounds like ragoodsp had about the same mileage as I did in the MB and in the 450 I get 9-10 mpg. It's still fairly new and I've been driving about 65mph on the highway most of the time. I think I could probably get slightly better if I ease up a bit but this year I was making many golf buddy trips and we needed to get to the courses
. Still it will take many miles to make up the difference in gas cost vs the extra you pay for the sprinter.

Welcome and I hope you enjoy your new PC. On to your questions:
1. You are correct in your assumption. It is a switch to be able to start the rig off your coach batteries.
2. Again your are correct and there are not tricks I know of. I think on the water pump you will find a valve and hose to insert into a RV anti freeze bottle.
3. By-pass is located under the kitchen drawers, pull them out and you should be able to locate them.
4. The inverter is only wired to certain receptacles and it sounds like you found them with your meter.
5. When traveling I do run the frig on propane. I have had no issues with that.
Hope that helps, sounds like the manual you got is the one that came with the unit. It could use some updating.
