Yes there are a lot of "Gotcha') out there as far as value goes.

A friend of mind just bought a class a Thor Axis. for 74K ?
That my friends is a rip off.  Compare that to other class A's such as the Winnie Intrigue.
This Axis is not only built on a E450 instead of a F-53 with 30 valves instead of 20, but it's overall width is 8' instead of 10 with the Intent.
Suspension, which is important, is the smaller sized E-450 than the F-53.

And.... the bad news, is that the Thor price they paid the same as the Winnie Intrigue..   Sad.... We all need to use our Goggle more often?
Just saying,

The price would turn me off.  I know of Class A's one can buy for 70k that have a whole lot more convenience room at just about the same length.

I'm curious. How many PC's are snowbirds? I know there are comments here and there but I thought putting them in one post would be good. This question is good for the reverse snowbirds that live in the warmer zones and "fly" north for the summer too. I'm not looking for specifics like your town or street. More like New York City area to Miami for January through March.

Several questions:
1.  Where do you travel from?
2.  Where do you travel to?
3.  Which months do you normally relocate?
4.  How many years have you done this?
5.  Do you have a group of friends you see every year at your seasonal location?
6.  Do you dream of relocating to your favorite snowbird destination?

1.North Central Wisconsin
2. Tonto Basin Arizona
3. 6 months  Nov-May
4. 10 or so
5. yes... Friends at Park, Cowboy Church , and at Bible church
6. Yes, but most of family back in Wisconsin..

General Discussion / Re: Banks PowerPack System V-10

Yes, have to vote for the 5 star. Had it both in the PC 2350 and now the Winne Class A. No, not any fuel savings, but performance is what you get.
But I did notice the airbox (air filter) and air intake to engine on this 2018 Class A matches the Banks system pretty much. So Ford must have changed
to a more efficient design?   On the Class A I don't see any reason to change the headers and muffler as they seem to be pretty straight flow design from Ford.

What about the rear wheels off the ground?  I've had that a few times.   Doesn't seem to hurt anything.   Makes it easy to change a tire!   heartshower (cheer) (cheer)

Mine broke also. Don't know if any of these RV locks are any good.   Replaced with an remote style. Was expensive, and only lasted little over year.   Sometimes RV stuff is so expensive, but built so cheap.

A personal thing....I wished they did something new with the front grille.  I never liked the industrial look that has been around since 2008.

I find it interesting about the 7.3 liter pushrod engine.  More HP & Torque, a bigger power band, and less noise.  I wonder about fuel economy.

I wonder about all this 7.3 stuff also.   Really... Noise reduction?  How about HP and TQ ratings?  Not much different than the V10, (especially the 30 valve version in the F53). AND... what about the MPG?  Power requires fuel.   HP and TQ are not that impressive compared to the V10.  (Especially if turned with 5-Star) .

Just saying.

I chuckle with these warranties policies from MANY companies.
WHY, because most are exacterated.   Meaning,
Meaning.... only if your in a position to have your needs SERVICED .

Guess we much  be aware, of the Location, and What Hoops we have
to Jump Through to have this terrific Warranty actually be able to perform.

Just saying... Please check the "fine print" as you already know.

Just a reminder,

Money and Money is Business vs. competition.  Can't be more clear than that folks. I'm competing with PC if I would sell my PC on their site.

General Discussion / Re: Norcold, not so much
« on: May 21, 2019, 06:43:20 pm »
Winnebago has started to use both the Norcold and Nova-Kool compressor fridges in their Paseo, Travato, View/Navion. and Fuse lines.
All the units now have 200 amp solar systems standard but still using the smaller Group 27/31 12V batteries.  All seems fairly well since
the change early in 2018.

Even though I fought Winny's compressor refrig, I think in the long run, it's the way to go.  Just add a few hundred watts of Solar, and some 2 or 4 good Walmart deep cells, and the peace of mind would be good. My refrig costs less than $150 to replace if it craps out. Unlike the $300 if yours goes south on you.
