I HAD THE ALCOA WHEELS ON MY PREVIOUS AIRSTREAM INTERSTATE- THEY WERE COATED WITH SOME PROCESS WHERE THEY WERE CLEANABLE WITH JUST SOAP AND WATER.  if THEY ARE NOT COATED I WOULD BELIEVE THEY WOULD HAVE TO BE SHINED PERIODICALLY TO KEEP SPIFFY.  I ALSO THOUGHT THEY LOOKED GREAT ON THE RIG AND NATURALLY THEY WERE LIGHTER  THEN THE STEEL RIMS.  I CAN'T REALLY SAY  I NOTICED IMPROVED  DRIVABILITY OF THE RIG.  I ALSO USED AIR EXTENSIONS WHICH I PREFER TO THE STAINLESS HOSES ON THE PRESENT RIG.

Glad to hear that apple took care of you. I love their products and have always seen them stand behind them and make things right. Much like Phoenix cruisers.

Sorry to hear your having trouble. I've owned an I pad for 1 1/2 years and haven't experienced any such problems especially battery life. I bought mine from an apple store and bought the extended warranty. Which also includes classes in setup and use . Sometimes an app will close and re openin which it seems to be updating especially newspapers on which you can control under settings. Perhaps you could be more specific.

I totally agree with all the helpful comments from all members especially ron's.- ( Its a dry heat though) but you can still fry an egg on your vehicle.  The North Rim was much less crowded than south Rim an I Think more pleasant.  May I suggest Depending on your Toad if towing- you could try off roading. I had a book several years ago that rated all off road trails and I did 7 or 8 trails with a stock jeep grand cherokee in Moab Ut. Brings lots of water and prepare for the adventure - You will have a blast and be stunned with the scenery. I heartedly agree on the need for reservation in all the nat. parks.  Sure takes the spontanety out of it.
You will have a great time.

Ron:
When you state you leave everything hooked up and apply a small 4 watt charger -. your working off the combined leads off the positive and negative terminals. Is this correct?
Thank for you help.

Would anybody like to share any words of wisdom concerning battery  storage over the winter season.  My rv is in a heated garage and a  I'm a little concerned leaving them in the compartment and periodically charging them via plugging in the Rv.  Comments or tips  are appreciated.
thanks in advance.

I just returned from a trip and my footwell lights will not shut off with the rest of the exterior marker lights. I disconnected them to prevent battery rundown.  Any suggestions on where to look or a course of action would be appreciated.   thanks

General Discussion / My first post - Hi everybody
« on: August 17, 2011, 03:05:23 pm »
I purchased my 2011 2551 in july of 2010 and have been very pleased with the product. Iv'e been out and about on several trips and other than the suspension being a little sloppy- i'm happy with phoenix.  I hope to learn a lot of tips from my fellow forum members which brings me to my question? Does anybody have any special techniques or advice on cleaning the fiberglass roof.
Thanks in advance.
