Michelin has issued a recall on the tires that blew out back in May, 2013 on my PC 2700. This has been widely discussed as I see from current postings. I claimed directly to Michelin for the 50% that I paid in cash back in May. I was contacted by Lynn from Michelin, who apologized for the delay in replacing the other 5 tires and said I could purchase any manufacturers replacement tires. I have now changed to Firestone Transforce. Should you have any problems with getting your recalled tires replaced please call Lynn at (864)458-6309.

Bit late on this discussion, but I've had two doors fall off! The first was replaced under warranty and the second I repaired by making a metal plate 4" x 1" x 1/8". Cut to the shape of existing hinge and epoxied and screwed back on - works just fine, but DON'T open the fridge door whilst travelling!!

Many thanks for the comments.
Specifically, the right side inner rear tire went first. I limped into Fredericksburg at 25 mph and had the spare tire installed. The inside left side inner tire went some 10 miles from home, so I limped in straight to A & A Tires in Kerrville. They made me call Michelin Consumer Care and told me what information to give. Michelin then called back to A & A Tire and made a deal where I got about 50% off 2 new tires. Michelin would not discuss the other five tires that were the OEM from Ford/PC. Guess I'll wait for them to come apart - at least they are all rear tires!

I had a tire blow out on Friday May 17th and 150 miles later a second tire blew. The treads separated from the casing in each case. Michelin will partly compensate on tread depth, 9/32nd., but not interested in checking the other five tires. The tires are original on the Ford chassis, now a 2011, PC 2700.
Have any other PC owners had these tire problems?

We also have these outside window shades, but we also use an inside windshield silver foil heat shade (from Walmart) and I cut a driver/passenger side window shade from the same material. Really cuts down the heat input, especially when your campsite points West in the afternoon! These shields fold up and are stowed during the day.

Hi Kevin and all other respondents,
Many thanks for all your inputs with ideas that got me off my duff and into Google. I found Able Autotruck Parking and Storage, Inc. at S. Wentworth Ave., just west of I-94 and I-90 at $20 per day and 10 minutes from Downtown.

We intend to travel to Chicago in late August to see friends in the Harbor/Navy Pier area, where there is no RV parking. So this "HELP' is for any Chicagoans (Ron Dittmer) who may have some local knowledge on where to park or store the PC.

Hi Aimee, we live in Kerrville, Texas and actually overlook the Guadalupe RV Park. I'd be pleased to answer any questions on or about Kerrville. Monica and I have lived here since 2002. We've just returned from a 2700 mile tour of Colorado state and everything is functionaling ok!
Our 2011 PC 2700 is available for anyone who's interested to check it out.
