I traded my 2551 in on a 2400 on sprinter chassis and heres my  thoughts on both motor homes.the 450 ford is nice plenty of power  and  a good ride on smooth roads.Mileage was 7 to 9 not towing,according to which way the wind was blowing in okla.and tx.Stuart  traded me for my 2400 and have had it not quite a year and about 10000 miles.The sprinter is quiter to ride in ,no wind noise,rides way better that the ford and wind does not brother it anymore than the ford.Mileage is from 13 to 17 again according to which way the wind is blowing.Now the mileage does not seem that much but i would spend 100 to 125 to fill up the ford and 50 to 60 on the sprinter,your do the math.I am going to either sell or trade the spinter for another sprinter chassis on a different floor plan as we miss the down bed.I was happy with the ford except for the mileage but like the spinter a lot more.
That's my opinion for what its worth.

you might try the rv super bag.we bought one for our 2400 and love it.just google rv super bag and see if you like it.

you can google rv superbag they make a sleeping bag with removeable sheet to put on air mattress.sure beats making the bed and it is summer weight on one side and winter on other side.we really like ours.

Has anybody had any problems with the wheel liners staying on mainly the back ones.My left one fits but the right one just won't stay on.

we had the same problem and had carol get us one and so far it is working fine.maybe she can help.we also bought a rv superbag for the bed and that really makes a big difference.good luck

we had a 13500 low profile ac on our 09 2551,it was loud and did not cool very good past 90 deg. outside.we replaced it with a high porfile bisk air 15000 and it makes a big difference in cooling and noise.much better.might try that.

i bet if you guys would get your tow car rolling it would be fairly easy to turn over trying to turn it setting still.

i had this problem and fixed it by taking the two grounds off the frame by the steps and cleaning them.that fixed my problem.hope this helps

mine is on the drivers side where you fill you fresh water tank there is a little valve that you can turn to drain tank.
