Guess that makes us a maybe.  At best we could arrive June 1st.  Sounds like fun, if we can get away.  Is there a cut-off for registering?

We have been using the 5 Star for 4 years; not much change in mpg, but the drivability is greatly improved.  (6.8 Triton). Average 9.2 mpg pulling a CRV @ 62 mph.  I’m hoping our old buggy takes us to the end of the road.

Thanks for the reply Don.  It appears that the shore power flows through the inverter to a sub-panel.  If the breaker is off, the sub panel does not power the receptacles.

Being an older unit there isn’t  lot of information about how it’s wired.  Xantrex is non-responsive, I wasn’t even sure if it had an internal transfer switch.  It’s time to start looking for a replacement.  The fans are noisy; it might be OK for a long time or give out at the worst time.

Think I might have found the answer.  ( internal transfer switch ).

Good catch.  I’ve been looking for solutions to get more heat into the front.  Plenty of heat  in the bath & bedroom, but not much up front.  Amazon has some dampered vents, might give those a try.

General Discussion / Inverter Question

2012 PC / 2552 :

When plugged in to shore power, if I turn off the inverter at the breaker panel I lose power to the TV, Kitchen, bath and outside receptacle. Maybe microwave but I don’t remember.  Doesn’t seem normal, any ideas where to start looking.

Found this by accident, turned off the breaker while doing some housekeeping under the bed.

Thanks for your insights.

Checking the level was the first thing I did.  It was about 1/2 quart low.  Some times you fix one hole  only to find another leak.  So far it’s holding fine;  sure beats replacing the hydraulics.  Thanks for the advice, the forum has been a great help over the past couple of years.

Ditto on the Cross Climates, very satisfied.

Our 2012/2552 had a pinhole on top of one of the rear levelers, possibly a faulty weld or crimp.  Hard to say how long it’s been seeping as the leveler has been wet in the 2 years we have owned it.  I’ve never been too concerned thinking it was just a weeping seal.  Being frugal, I patched it with JB Weld.  While another leak may pop up, for the moment it’s as dry as a bone.
