General Discussion / Paint codes
« on: April 12, 2025, 02:46:03 pm »
We are contemplating putting our 2013 2910T on the market for sale in the next couple months & there are a couple small areas on the rear cap that need paint touchups.  Our coach exterior colors are white, black & grey.  Does anyone have the paint codes for our full-body paint colors, especially the code for black?  I have sent an inquiry to PC, but no one has responded.

Thanks,

General Discussion / Replacement of the windshield washer reservoir
« on: March 22, 2025, 02:25:11 pm »
I've developed a leak in the windshield washer reservoir.  Has anyone tried replacing it?  Is this a DIY job, or should I take it to an RV repair shop?

Thanks, Sharon.  Yes, please let me know how the removal process goes & approximate cost.  Most of mine was removed by the dealer when we  purchased it 3-4 years ago.  The only parts that were not removed are the front left & right "wings" & the two mirrors, since at the time, they were not showing any signs of disfiguring. So, hopefully, this will limit the cost.  I'm having it looked at by a friend of mine who does paint & body work to see what he thinks.

General Discussion / Removing the protective shield coating on our PC
« on: February 08, 2025, 11:44:18 am »
Does anyone have a "reasonable" recommendation for removing the protective coating on our PC?  The hood & top cap portions were removed prior to our purchase.  However, both of the side caps now look like they have permanent "love bug spots" on them.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks for the quick reply.  Setting the fan on "Auto" solved the problem.

General Discussion / Dometic Thermostat Issue
« on: December 26, 2024, 09:25:05 am »
We're currently camping in a colder climate & this morning started the "Furnace" mode on the thermostat.  For the first time ever, when the furnace started, the roof AC unit also started. The furnace blew warm air as expected, but the roof air unit was blowing cold air.  I turned the thermostat off & waited a few minutes, but when I again cycled the thermostat to the Furnace mode, the same thing happened.

Any suggestion as to the cause & what the solution might be?

Thanks for the info.  Just curious, where is the "drain hole" on your 3100?

Greg:

Thanks for the info regarding location of the fresh water tank drain valve on our 2013 2910T.  I removed the mattress & located the box containing the valve.  I'm assuming the drainage valve is the brass one (picdture attached).  Probably a stupid question, but since I've never drained the fresh water tank, here it goes.  When I turn the valve the quarter turn (so it is perpendicular to the coach, do I turn on the water pump to empty the tank?  I turned it, thinking it was a gravity-fed empty, but obviously nothing happened.  So, I figured I'd contact you before doing anything else.

Thanks,

John & Lisa:

We have a 2013 2910T & store our grill in the right rear compartment.  We have a Weber Q100 propane model & if you remove the handle, it stores easily in either the upper shelf or in the bottom drawer.

General Discussion / Draining the fresh water tank
« on: March 01, 2024, 09:13:33 am »
Our RV has been unused in the past 6 months &, before using it on a trip later this month, I would like to drain the small amount of water in the fresh water tank & refill it.  What is the easiest way to drain the tank?  Is there a valve to drain it that I'm unaware of?  Or, do I need to pump the water into the grey water tank & then dump that tank?

Many thanks for the replies.  And, thanks for the reminder about lubricating the slides.

We store our 2013 2910T at home when not in use.  If we leave it plugged into 110 house current, will it have a negative effect on the deep cycle batteries or require their water levels to be filled more often?  The sliding battery tray is a pain to slide out.

I would like to use our Amazon Firestick with our PC TV, but don't know how to access the rear of our main TV at the front of the coach.  Any help would be appreciated.

We had the EXACT same problem, although our inside screws weren't missing, just loose.  I, too, ordered a new lockset, thinking the old one was broken.  Our mobile RV guy simply tightened the screws & it worked perfectly.  Fortunately, I'd ordered the replacement lockset on Amazon Prime, so was able to return it for a full refund.
