General Discussion / Re: Replace Seats???
« on: July 24, 2024, 11:12:12 pm »
I took the seats out of our 2015 2552 and had an upholstery shop re-cover them and it was half the cost of new seats. The shop had my wife and I sit in them with different kind of foam in different places until they felt comfortable and then he custom fit the foam and hand made the covers. He even offered us lumbar adjustment with manual adjustment. You just need to find the right shop. I didn’t need to worry about the seats not fitting or the interlock switch for the air bags as they are the same seats.

General Discussion / Re: Thanks Elkhart reunion committee!!

The reunion was very well organized and the first we have attended. Thanks to the committee and volunteers for the hard work. Really appreciated the involvement by the owners and their crew. Phoenix USA seems like a happy family that builds great RV's.

General Discussion / Microwave Exhaust
« on: June 18, 2023, 03:32:44 pm »
I was wondering how bees were getting in my 2552 when I noticed they seemed to be flying into the microwave vent. Upon removing the vent I noticed a few things. First no damper. Second no duct from microwave to roof. Third the screen has 3/8” openings that allowed bees in. Not only inside the vent but above the ceiling. There is two inches between the top of the microwave and the roof. I decided that the size of the vent used was plenty big for me to use finer screen to keep the bugs out. Then I fabricated a duct that directed the air from the exhaust to the outside. I haven’t come up with a damper design yet but at least the vent isn’t letting bugs in not to mention a lot of air infiltration from outside. Hope this helps keep things in there place.

General Discussion / Paint Codes and Parts
« on: August 20, 2022, 07:58:40 pm »
Does anyone have the Paint codes for the Night Scape Paint job on a 2015 2552? I have called the so-called parts department at Phoenix many times and I get no response. I have put in seven different requests in two years for common parts and only twice did someone respond. They give me a price but when I call or email saying I want to buy no one responds.
I would appreciate any advice from someone who knows how to actually order parts from PC.

General Discussion / Re: @%diamond shield

If you go to Diamond shield’s website, they have information on how to remove their product. You will need plastic scrapers, and a good heat gun. The vinyl off and adhesive remover by crystal tech is available from Amazon. I removed all the Diamond Shield from my 2015 and it is a time-consuming job that requires the use of scaffolding to do the front cap safely. It does get easier once you’ve done it for a while. I will never put it on any vehicle again.
