Agreed!  Don't worry about it.  I have had two AMG 6volts hooked up to my 2007 2100 for three years.  No issues, however, I have the older Tripplite inverter.

Just saw this thread while sitting in our 2100 on Mother's day at Virginia Beach KOA.  I won't try to directly answer question about weight/space in terms of limits.  I can say that we have had our 2100 for about 5 years.  My wife and I are not "campers" per say, we are "road-trippers" and the 2100 has been perfect for us.  We never stay anywhere more than 2-3 nights and we sprinkle in a hotel or two along the way.  With a little creativity and suggestions from this forum and others we have been able to utilize every nook and cranny of this rig to carry everything we need.  Our rig is neat and tidy.  We do use a cargo/bike carrier on the back for our bicycles, but other than that, we manage quite well.  Maybe you should add the Phoenix TRX to your list of PC motorhomes to review.  If you are really concerned about space, go with the bigger model.

Just my two cents

Thanks,

Yes, it has been at or below freezing for about 12 hours now here in the Detroit area and it is now snowing!!!   I just turned the tank warmers on.  No harm, no foul.

Yep on the battery amps/volts.

General Discussion / Tank Heaters....
« on: April 25, 2023, 08:43:47 am »
Just experienced our first night below freezing after taking my 2007 2100 out of indoor storage.  Question:  Can you run the tank heaters on house batteries only overnight?  I have two 200amp 6volt batteries.

Thanks,

General Discussion / Re: Gen-Turi generator exhaust venting system?
« on: November 08, 2022, 03:04:48 pm »
I have one for my 2007 PC 2100. It has the same setup as yours.  I have the Gen-Turi  run up along the angled transition wall panel between the driver side door and slideout.  I do have the sticking 2 bungee cord anchors on the transition panel.  No issues, small cord anchors not that big a deal.  Works just fine

On getting our 2552 I immediately decided the bright lights had to go.  My solution was to replace the fixtures.  Besides being full dimmable with 3 color choices they look better IMO.  They are almost an exact match for the footprint of the old fixture so once installed they look stock.

Here are pictures showing relative dim and bright, front and back in a 2552.

Just purchased a set of them.  Installed easily.  Much better lighting than stock and better than adding LED light tubes.

So....Your 2013 model year screen door retainer is different than this?  I did not realize the design changed.

I would still like to find this type of pressure latch.  It will only last so long.  No luck so far.

I also have an '07 2100.  I appreciated the "heads up" on the propane tank pipe situation.  I just checked mine and it seems to be secure.  I may still add a hanger of some type to reinforce it.  While under the rig and looking up at the lp tank, I see quite a bit of paint peeling off the lp tank and some rust starting to form.  Can the lp tank be re-primed/painted?

Yes, check out that link.  I had the same problem.  I could not find a replacement but was able to reinforce the remainder of the track.  I have included pictures.  Check out that link.

Hi Jeff,

With good maintenance practices, we got only two good years from our new PC's first pair of 12V batteries, and one marginal year.  We had the same durational experience with the replacement pair bought at Walmart.  Our third pair, we switched to two-6V AGM batteries bought at Sam's Club for $180/each.  That was in 2015.  They are still in great working condition today.  Based on this personal experience, I endorse two 6V AGM batteries.

Ron

I agree that (2) 6V AGM batteries are best .  The only issue for me was to make sure the physical size fit in the battery tray.

I stand with AAA all the way.  Get the upgrade with RV and Motorcycle assistance.  Never an issue wherever you travel.  Years and years of easy service when and where needed.

General Discussion / Re: Yes I own a TRX
« on: January 04, 2022, 01:00:46 pm »
I am surprised and a little confused regarding a slideout on a TRX.  I don't see that in the floorplans.  Did they just start making the TRX with a slideout option?

Fridge is Norcold.

Thanks for all the advice.  I will just keep doing what I have been doing with good maintenance.
