Ah yes the grill .. having limited storage on our little Trend side compartment , 2 grills later , I found that taking the pins off the lid and packing it separately , it will shoehorn into space pretty well ! We also put the lid and grill in separate plastic bags to keep mess to a minimum . Also use clevis pins for hinges for easier install .  Is that a Weber Q you have in there ??

General Discussion / Re: 2019 E450 2350 Rough Ride
« on: July 26, 2019, 04:16:52 pm »
Hi Rob , although I/we don't have a Phoenix , we have a winnie Trend that maxes out around 10,000# . It rode like a lumber wagon we first got it ! Handled nice and good road manners and mileage is good. I put air bags on rear and day night difference along with supersprings on front coils ..even better, don't get blown around in wind or being passed and minimal slamming . As for the airbags, that has been being discussed as "stiffening or hardening " the ride , many found out that adjusting pressure mostly cured the hard ride . I started out around 75-80# and over several days toned it down to around 45-55#  for max control and comfort, not Cadilac but much more tolerable .    I still get the bang over risers in the road but much less so .The front supersprings took most of the bang out too and less rolling too. Just my .02 cents and hope you get it dialed in to a pleasurable level ! Like insurance , you'll get it where you want it and almost never get a rough road again !!

Hi Ron , sent you a PM referring a shop close by . Hope all have a safe and happy 4th !

I've been using SeaFoam for a lot of years , occasionally in my cars but all the time in my power equipment, haven't had carb or injector problems since using it . I'll put 1 oz per gallon in our Trend if it will be sitting for awhile and run generator before sitting so it gets a dose too . If you're having some running issues I would run at least a couple tanks full , adjust dosage of oz/gal when topping off or refilling don't want to put too much in there . Good stuff !

Very interesting ! How come I can't find that kind of info ? It will be interesting to see what the numbers are on the Eco vs diesel when it's available , seems people are shying away from diesels but you can only get what they have available I guess . Do like the LTV stuff though . Why does it have to be so complicated  :'(  Thanks for the info !

Hi all , just back from a 10 week trip southwest and catching up on the forum , must say congrats to the new owners and how jealous I am !  I got to see my 1st 2551 while in Alamogordo NM , it was a older model ( Green !) and the owner , Glenn from WI , hasn't had it that long and may be joining the forum before too long !  While at the walmart in town I did see another in the lot but didn't meet up with the owner ,not sure of model and think it was a goldish color . Not too many out there that's for sure . With all the changes going on at PC I hope we will still be on game for a future purchase , wanted to do factory on way back but weather and a foot injury held us back ... Sorry Barry ! Hope to make it there in April though . Happy Motoring all  :)

Hi all , back from our trip west and catching up on some forum chat ! From what I've read there is mention of a cutaway version , would like to know if builders are going to opt for the diesel version or the 3.5 Eco Boost motor . I would prefer the gas version myself , though the diesel might outdo it a little, just extra cost factors involved . Haven't seen much on the PC version motorwise, hope they can come up with a twin bed model like the 2551-2 floor plan !

Hi John, can sympathise with your build , had a new car a handful of years ago with bad steering issues, factory found issue and had dealer correct and a month later had a TSB on the issue . Got rid of that wreck for a minivan , upgraded it and a year later and a tree fell on that onet ! Got another with , again , steering issues , almost a year later..lemon lawed that one .  Goes to show that stuff happens , shouldn't but it does .

Thanks a ton for the pictures , agree with Jim G there on a lot of his post, questions too . Being a prospective buyer, it means a lot .
Couple follow up questions from seeing pics .. I assume your batteries still slide out , being side mounted ?   Are those insulated/thermo windows ? Glass I assume if thermo ?   The vent pipe (?) in bath towel closet is visible like that after build ??  The cab window covers... nice and where did those come from ?

An extra Thanks for the roof shot , first real roof shot I've seen on a Phoenix !
Hope all goes well with slide issue for you . Pappy !
