General Discussion / A PC Train, and a goodbye
« on: October 13, 2020, 07:43:11 pm »
I wanted to say a BIG thank you to all who been on my  PC Train. We sold our beloved PC 2552 in only 10 days. After 18 months and 30 thousand miles. We have made a change and now live in a stick and brick. To all of you who have helped me I say thank you. I was a PC newbie with so many questions. and you had all the answers. I grew to love my PC. I truly believe it is the best motorhome in its class.. Well made. and Made to last. The PC has gone to a good home and has many a mile and adventure yet to come. This group of PC owners are some of the best folks I have ever met. Be Well, Be safe, Have fun. Now on to the next station as our train moves on down the tracks.

THE TRAIN:
At birth we boarded the train and met our parents, and we believe they will always travel by our side. As time goes by, other people will board the train; and they will be significant i.e. our siblings, friends, children, strangers and even the love of your life. However, at some station our parents will step down from the train, leaving us on this journey alone. Others will step down over time and leave a permanent vacuum. Some, however, will go so unnoticed that we don't realize they vacated their seats. This train ride will be full of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells. Success consists of having a good relationship with all passengers requiring that we give the best of ourselves.
The mystery to everyone is: We do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. So, we must live in the best way, love, forgive, and offer the best of who we are. It is important to do this because when the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who will continue to travel on the train of life.
I wish you a joyful journey for the coming years on your train of life.  Reap success, give lots of love and be happy.  More importantly, thank God for the journey!
Lastly, I want to thank you for being one of the passengers on my train!  ❤️

Carol got back to me and told me the factory uses a 19" wide by 24" Tall mudflap but does not put on the rubber Fender flare/skirt. I Now have figured out the larger mudflap and rubber fender flare skirt was added by the previous owner.. I purchased a 24'x24" mudflap and have cut it to size to replace the torn off one. Drilling and aligning the hole to bolt it to the metal hanger is proving difficult. but I am almost done with that part of the job. I am going to purchase some slightly larger self tapping screw and add some bonding glue and attempt to re-attact the rubber fender flare/skirt. I will let you know how that goes. Just another RV adventure LOL

Wish I would have red this before I backed up on to my leveler blocks and pinched the mudflap and tore it off the mounts .... does only know the size of the mud flap the factory used on th 2011 2552 lt looks like a 24"x 24" with some customers trimming down to 21" on one side to merge with the rubber fender skirting .. does that sound right. Im looking for the right size mud flap now and a place to install it

Does anyone know the size or make or model of the mudflapps used on a 2011 2552, Looks like the factory had to cut out some of the mud flap to merge with the rubber wheel flaring/skirt. I measured mine and it looks like they are 24inched tall and 21 inches wide. which is very odd size I am finding

Thanks for a great idea..I will look in to it

thanks

got the part from amazon and it was a 10 min job.. all is well now

Ok lesson Learned..

Do not back up on  leveling blocks or deep pot holes as you will pinch the mudflap and tear it loose from bracket.. I tore most  of my driver side rear mud flap and the rubber fender flare lose. It pulled the mounting screws out . Any suggestions on where to take it for repair?? will a tire shop do this

General Discussion / Re: PS Swivel Seat
« on: June 07, 2020, 05:15:44 pm »
Here is the method I use.
1. move the back rest of the seat all the way forward so it is lying down on the seat the release  for this is on the right side of the seat if you drop you arm over the edge of the seat you will feel it .. it moves up and down to release the back rest of the seat.
2. reach under and release the swivel just so the seat will begin to rotate  a inch or so from left to right
3. Now find the slide release that moves/ slides the seat front to back release and slide the seat forward as you turn the seat this way you have two directions of movement available, front to back and swivel left to right in this way you can clear the B post and the front drink cup holder while turning and sliding, front to back as needed.

I cursed like a sailor the first few times till to could remember my sequence of actions. after a few times I had it down. the key for me was to release the pedestal rotation lock first and get it unlocked a inch or so the seat was ready to rotate and that is done I do this after I put the back of the seat down so it is almost laying on the seat   and then move my  hands to the slide front to back release  which right under the front of the seat pull up and then having free movement in several directions at once...

Does anyone know where to get the Ex. Hanger for the Gen? Mine was 3/4 torn through, So I came with up with a temp Fix until I find the hanger. I had to remove a large piece of sheet metal with was the only thing holding the Ex Hanger to the underside of the Vehicle, Is this a heat shield and can I run my gen with out it. ?? your thoughts see picts

I have a pin hole near the outflow wand nozzle that hooks to the RV park sewer connection. It had been patched with some gorilla duck tape once before. So Im thinking of getting a new out flow wand nozzle but was concerned about the new outflow nozzles not fitting on the 1" hose . when I get the parts I will update ... thanks for all the input

That is what I thought .. thanks... where did you get the replacement hose and what length did you get

General Discussion / What size hose is the 70374 Thetford sanicon ?
« on: May 21, 2020, 04:37:59 pm »
Looks like My Thetford Sanicon 70374 has been discontinued for a newer model 70400

I need to repair the hose but I am not sure what size the hose diamiter is. Looks like it is a one a 1" inch diameter but could be a 1-1/4 inch. I can not seem to find any info in the web on the correct size. for this 70374 model

I have a leak near the hand wand discharge port and was thinking about replacing the entire hose but not sure the new model 70400 Thetford Sewer Hose Nozzle will fit

can anyone advise what size diameter the hose is on the 70374 sanicon is

I took the valve apart and cleaned it. It was full of junk and now it works as a boon docker gray water drain with a very low volume flow.. I love it.. the previous owner must have put this on. And will be great for boon docking.
