What is the actual Samsung model number ? I have an earlier coach (2007), and the DVD/HT system on that will not play DVDs consistently, so was looking to replace it - but it's difficult to find a DVD with the 5:1 speaker outlets that fits into the slot.

Re: There is a light "under" the top step that should remain on for 5 minutes and then turn off. The light was not turning off. In the garage with the bright ceiling lights on and dirt over the step bulb area, it was not noticed that the step light was remaining on all the time. Had a switch and piece of wire replaced and all seems good.

General Discussion / Winegard Carryout Satellite Dish

Recently purchased one of these and looking to setting it up. It will need to wait until we are out and about, as I don't think we have a clear enough view of the southern sky from the driveway to set it up. On reading the manual, they are fairly insistent that the satellite receiver shoul dbe directly connect to the television via coax, and not to use the cable in port of the side of the coach, as the dish doesn't work through any distribution system the cable TV connection is set up for.
Of course, being neat, I wanted to make use of the cable port, and I am not looking forward too much to having to run wires or poke holes in the coach to direct connect it. Supposedly you can require the cable port somehow to accommodate the dish, another possibility is that the coach has a port (somewhere - roof ?) for a satellite in feed. If I can get the satellite connection working correctly I am will to forgo a permanent park setup.
We have the 2007 29' with dual slides. Has anyone been down this path before, and can offer suggestions/advice ?

Has anyone replaced the mattress that comes with the Cruiser ? We have a 2007 30' with Island Bed on a slide out, and my wife is finding the supplied mattress a little too hard. Looking for something more comfortable to replace it with, that will still fit under the cabinetry when the slide is in.

We just came back from Utah - can also recommend the KOAs and definitely the one at Bryce Canyon/Cannonville. We couldn't get into the one by Grand Canyon so also stayed at the one at Flagstaff, also very serviceable.

I didn't do this, but now wish I had. We have the 2007 29' with twin slides. It comes with an inbuilt coffee maker attached to the cupboard door under the sink. There is quite an extensive amount of Corian material used to frame in the coffee maker, and overall there is a lot of weight hanging off the door.
While driving up the I5 yesterday (the climb from LA up to the Grapevine), we stuck to the inside lane, which was heavily rutted. At one point the cupboard door swung open, and then immediately disintegrated from the weight of the coffeemaker and the juddering - the hinges themselves didn't detach, but the joins in the door simply came apart.
So now I am looking for a replacement cupboard door in cherry, will call the factory tomorrow to see what they have. Others may want to either remove the coffee maker, or devise some latching solution that would absolutely prevent the door from opening.

That makes sense. When we first did the PMI, one of the problems was that the step didn't always close when the door was closed. They adjusted the bolt, but maybe they didn't go far enough, and as the frame flexes while driving it's triggering the open/close sequence. We have also seen wire corrosion in other areas so will check the wires as well.
Based on this, do you think the pin bending and shearing the cotter pin is just coincidental ? I do have a large lump of a son who liked landing on the step from the doorway with both feet and all 250+ lbs of weight until I politely told him to desist.

2007 PC. When we first got this a month or so ago we went north, and returned down a reasonably twisty stretch of highway - the 128 from Highway 1 on the Pacific Coast to the 101.
Nearing the end of the 128 there was an bang as if something had hit the undercarriage. When I stopped to look the step was hanging free, as the pin that held the actuator arm onto the swinging part of the step had bent and stripped the cotter pin. I fixed it temporarily by using a screw driver to replace the pin, and we made it home. However my wife did notice from the mirror on her side that every know and then the step would extend and retract automatically. i put it down to losing the screwdriver, but when we got home the screwdriver was still there, and the assembly was still driving the step.
Anyhow, replaced the screwdriver with the pin (FYI - most hardware stores do not have the right size, go to a marine store instead), and everything was fine for another 200-300 miles or so. We looked frequently but never saw the step extend/retract on it's own again.
This week, returning from the same campground, down the same stretch of road, and low and behold, the step starts it's in and out dance again. Each time it closes it does it with quite a whack, so now I am wondering if it's this action that bent the pin in the first place.
Do I just have a ghost in the machine, or is there something mechanical or electrical I should be looking for ?

General Discussion / Inverter Tick Tock after emergency start ?

Still coming up to speed with our (new to us) 2007. This lomg weekend I left the new GPS plugged into the 12 volt socket and predictably the starting battery was flat when we came to leave. So I started the coach using the emergency switch which starts it of the house batteries. From that point on, for at least 100 miles, the inverter proceeded to make a tick tock noise, with about 3-5 seconds gap between each tick or tock. Eventually it stopped doing it, but I am worried that I did something wrong/broke something. There's nothing in the manual/on the web that describes the symptoms above, so I'm a little perplexed.
Anyone have any insight/calming words ?
