Taildragger, thanks for your reply.  I'm not a whiner or snowflake, but over the last five years, what few questions I have posed on this forum have gone pretty much neglected.  I did send a "parts request" via the Phoenix Cruiser website and received a timely reply.  I can buy a new cover and have it shipped.  I'm certain that it would need painting to match the PC's paint scheme.

After I got home, I put the cover in place with only the one tab and the lock.  I actually think it will hold.

Again, thanks for your reply.

Came back to the campsite to find the cover to the Anderson valve on the ground.  The nipple on the left is intact.  It appears that the right side possibly has a spring loaded nipple to attach the door?

Any help with this?

Thanks for the informative remarks.  I am sitting comfortably at my RV pad in Rockport TX.  I am taking moho back home tomorrow.  I wont try your suggestions until I get it home.  I dont want something to ruin the rest of my stay.

Mike, could it be the house batteries?  I am plugged in to 50amp and all other 12 volt lights work.  Two days ago I changed the oil in the generator.  I was going to start it to get the oil heated up.  When pressing the start button all I got was clicking.  I started the engine and the generator fired right up.  So, if it is the batteries, why would all the 12v lights work, but not the LED strips?  The batteries are approximately 5 years old.

I will be short and concise.  The LED strips, all of them, magically quit working.  MY PC has been on our RV pad in Rockport TX and plugged in.  When I arrived, some of the strips were ON.  The microwave clock was blinking, which indicates that power had been lost.  Finally got them turned OFF and they worked fine.

Now, they have suddenly quit working.  The only thing I can think of is I removed each battery cable, one at a time, to brush and clean them.  Everything operating on 12 volts is working fine.

Any suggestions?

General Discussion / Re: Roof Maintenance

I wash my PC often & always wash the roof. I use a liquid RV soap/wax to wash & hand wax twice a year. What are ya'll using on the roof for protection. I have two AC units, 360 antenna, two solar panels, three vents & the shower dome on the roof. My class a had a smooth vinyl roof that was easy to wax. The PC roof is textured & not easy to wax. I guess I could use a liquid wax but it would still be hard to hand buff out. Our PC stays outside in the North Carolina weather so I try my best to keep it looking new. Thanks for your replies, Chuck :)

IMO there is no need to wax the roof.  Just keep it clean.

General Discussion / Spray Lubricants

Even though one thinks they know everything, it never hurts for a second opinion.  I am on a three month trip and when looking in one of  my storage bins, I see 3 or 4 different cans of lubricants, including WD40 (probably not considered a lubricant).

Have any of you found ONE spray lub that does it all...step, springs on levelers, hinges, key locks, etc.  I have read on various blogs about T-9 and it seems very popular.  I think Elkhart uses Blaster, which I have.

Just a thought.  I wonder if tilapia can survive in the black water tank?

No question, Thedford's AquaKem Original is the best.  Yes, it contains formaldehyde which IS biodegradable.  Yes, it works, zero odor.

Don

I also use Thetford's chemical containing formaldehyde and have been for many, many years.  BUT...I learned something from your comment.  I use Campa Chem in the powdered packets and buy from WalMart.  I did a little research and here is a reply from Thetford when someone asked about the difference in the two.  I was under the impression that Campa Chem was the only Thetford product using formaldehyde.

"Hello,
Aqua Kem and Campa Chem are almost identical products that use almost the same formula. The Campa Chem is a more economic version of Aqua Kem and is often used in smaller products such as our Porta Potti's. Aqua Kem is a more concentrated version that is often used in RV's which have much larger holding tanks since our Aqua Kem starts working within 30 minutes. Both can be used on smaller units or in RV's however so when purchasing, it will really come down to which ever one you would like to use.

If you have additional questions, please contact us.
"

I figger that Thetford employees chemists and should know what is good and what is not good for the environment.

I'm on several RV related blogs, including Facebook, and the RV toilet seems to be the most popular subject.  On one Facebook page, I found what I thought to be some really weird ideas about what to put in the black tank.  So, I posted that I worked at a mortuary and put embalming fluid in my black water tank.  I received a couple of posts warning me of the dangers.  I thought my comment was so ridiculous that readers would see through the sarcasm, but no.

From what I read, Happy Camper seems to be the most popular RV chemical and receives rave reviews.  For me, I will stick with Thetford.

General Discussion / Re: Pedal extenders for 2350 Sprinter
« on: March 07, 2021, 09:32:08 pm »
Has anyone used pedal extenders on their Phoenix Cruiser Sprinter motorhomes?  We have a 2350 2010.  My husband was the primary driver but now with some serious health issues, I will be doing more driving.  I am 5'1" and have trouble reaching the pedals with my shorter legs.  Thanks for any input.

When I was on Okinawa with the Marine Corps in 1972, some of the taxis were old, large American cars.  Keep in mind that typically, Japanese are a bit shorter.   So the drivers would cut off a piece of a 2x4 and wire them to the gas and brake pedals.  Simple and inexpensive fix!!

Are the tanks drained?  If so, no need to heat the tanks.  It's always a good idea to drain the Grey and black tanks when you "store" the RV, even if just for a few days.   And always make sure you drain any residual in the manual dump outlet.  A short piece of slinky hose into a bucket is good for that, presuming you have drained tanks!

Completely emptying the holding tanks before storing the moho may not be an option.  Just a thought.  I think I am done with this thread.   (cheer)

I can't locate the switch for the tank heaters. It was advised that it was in the bathroom by the water pump switch, but didn't find it there. Any other ideas. Thanks

The more I think about it, the tank heaters may have been an "option".

Assuming the holding tanks are not empty, pour some "pink" in the gray tank and also the black tank.

Thanks for all the advice. I will have the water drained and turn on the water heater. It is now forecasted to be a high of 16 and a low of 7 on Monday.  Yesterday, my son reported it was 34 outside, 43 in the barn, 78 in the rv. I have a space heater running in the rv. It was been suggested I turn on the tank heaters. Can someone advise how to do this, I have a 2014 2910. Thanks for all the help.
I have a 2019 3100.  The tank heaters switch is located in the bath, above the switch for the onboard water pump.  I am assuming tank heaters were installed in 2014?
