Hi,
We have a 2010 2400 on the Sprinter Chassis and are getting 13 to 16 mpg with a 15 mpg average on 15,300 miles. We do not tow but our travels have taken us out West over mountains all over Oklahoma and South to the tip of Texas.  Our best mileage came when we had an EGR failure light and before we could get into the shop we got 18 mpg.  Isn't that EPA guidance great? (lol)

I'm also wondering if the factory unit will work better without the slideout?  Anyone having cooling problems with a 2400 or 2350 without the slideout?

Hi,
Time to tap this wealth of PC knowledge again.  We have a 2010 2400 with a slideout and when we camp in temperatures at 95 degrees or above we can't get the interior temp of our PC below 85 degrees even thought our 13.5 BTU A/C runs continually.  It wouldn't be so bad, but because the AC is not ducted the cool air only goes to the front or the back of the rig.  This is severely limiting our camping destinations as we like to travel into warmer climates.

Anyone out there have these same problems?  When we replace our PC and delete the slideout would we still need double A/C units?

All,
Thank you for your great answers. In fact I think you've answered all our questions.  Ron, your pictures were great! We were surprised to see so many people respond about the 2350 with a dinette and no slide.
   
Any bed, even a small corner bed is going to work better than our current "Electric" (Air) bed.  We are on our fifth air mattress not counting the spare.  It is great to know that you could actually use the dinette as an extra bed, hard to tell in pictures.

We like the idea of going without the slideout for all the reasons you guys list. Last year we were camping in a New Mexico duststorm, the winds were so strong that we were afraid to put the slide out.  That night I slept on the floor and my wife slept on the unfolded sofa.

 I think we will see if we can get a 2350 built for us.

Hi,
Has anyone replaced the electric air bed with something like the Rest Easy multi-position lounge offered in other rigs?  It also has a built in ottoman and would be nice to lay back and watch TV before going to bed...

I wonder if Kermit could retro fit our cruiser or if he has ever put one in a custom order?
