The front is a Dometic Penguin II 13,500 btu and the rear is a Dometic 11,000 btu.

We have two AC units in our 2552. You can only run the front AC off the generator (question from another comment). I made a Velcro on cover out of a car sun shade for the shower dome. Heat wasn’t the issue, the excessive light was too much in the morning. Two AC’s were a must for us and alternating them helps with the noise factor.

We rarely use the footrest with the reclining couch. We have a coffee table that we set up in front of the couch. It is the foot rest when needed. We had it in our previous MH. It is heavy wood, but folds up and stores under the drivers side bed. Purchased from CW. We also have a “butterfly” chair from Target that stores under the bed also. We don’t use it very often. Mainly when we need extra seating for visitors. We have the cabinet also.
We usually don’t both sit on the couch a lot. I usually go relax on the bed to read or watch tv at night.
The table that came with the PC stays home. We eat off of trays.
You’ll figure out what works best for you when you get more time.

We had the same problem. It was the transfer switch and a loose connection. Fixed and the hum stopped!

General Discussion / Re: WHERE might this inverter be?
« on: January 25, 2020, 02:21:06 pm »
Our 2017 2552 has both and are both located under the passenger side bed. Hubby says xantrex is the inverter. The switch for it is behind the drivers seat on the wall where the other controls are to check tanks etc. So, if you have the switch you should have an inverter.

I've never seen a mirror placed there on another 2552. There was/is a small one next to the stove on the wall that was standard. We had it left off.

General Discussion / Re: Cleaning Question
« on: November 09, 2019, 05:43:46 pm »
I have a large (color coordinated of course) pool noodle stuffed up under the sink edge between it and the shower to help keep stuff from falling down and getting in there.
Donc13- I put Glad press and seal over the shower door track and drain when the litter box is in there. Helps keep the litter out.
For cleaning in between I have used different things like a long feather duster, sticking the DustBuster in as far as I can, Swiffers and whatever else I think up. The glass on the outside doesn't get wet just dusty and you can't see through it anyway! 🤷‍♀️ I'm pretty much a fanatic/germaphobe, but sometimes you can only do so much.

The beds in our 2552 have the exact same clearance under the shirt closets and our beds are the same height. That being said, if I could have a redo I would have the cabinet on my side (drivers) shorter. My bed is the shorter one and I hit my shins on the cabinet when I turn over. I also wish my bed was longer. I’m 5’6, but apparently I like to sleep stretched out! I’ve gotten accustomed to it out of necessity. It doesn’t bother my husband (passenger side) at all and his feet are size 10 and will have 2 inch memory foam on our beds also.

General Discussion / Re: Anyone here from Alabama?
« on: August 27, 2019, 11:09:49 am »
Every place I've lived has pros and cons. Tennessee is too cold for me and too far from the beach! I do have a son in Bowling Green, KY, so we do frequent that area. We originally came here for a Tiffin motor home rally when we lived in Ohio and fell in love with the area. Hubby was on the cusp of retiring and his employer offered him a position in Mobile. Fate I guess. He promised them 2 years and here we are!
There are 2 other PC owners in this area (Spanish Fort) and another PC couple we know in Milton, Fl.
I have another son in San Diego. Beautiful weather! Too crowded and expensive for us.
Best of luck on finding your new home.

We have stayed at the Elkhart Campground twice.  Staff was nice. It's a huge campground designed for maximum usage of space. Facilities were clean.

Alabama here! Next door to Fairhope in Foley. We moved here 11 years ago. We love the area. I grew up in Clearwater, Fl. and have lived in PA, MN, and OH. Property taxes are cheap. Tags for the MH close to $700. Home owners insurance is going to depend on your home value and location. The closer you are to the water, the higher it will be. We have that hurricane thing going on here. Auto insurance also has a lot of variables, but seems reasonable. In general, I think the cost of living is reasonable compared to other places. If you don't like hot and humid, travel in the summer!

General Discussion / Re: new 3 way Anderson water valve
« on: June 21, 2019, 05:15:51 pm »
I believe JaTrax & bftownes may have the solution for you. I too replaced the valve last year. After many many uses, no problems. Ensure there is no pressure on the valve when  changing settings and set the indicator just slightly to the right of top dead center. If this works for you, mark the location with a black marker for future location. Hope it solves your problem.

General Discussion / Re: Resetting the Oil Monitor
« on: February 18, 2019, 10:01:33 pm »
GHS and Ron,
Thank you for the reply.  I have tried  all the options and watched several video instructions on Youtube. For whatever the reason, still no success.   I'm beginning to think my 450 is not fitted with the monitor or if it is, there is a problem with it.

Gareau
I have googled it, however I could not find a 2017 e450. I have also tried several other Year models with no success. I am really baffled why the Ford owner's manual instruction doesn't work.
