I have a 2016 2351 and when I put it in reverse the screen read "no video detected".  Any ideas out there?  I called Doug at PC and he doesn't have a clue.

General Discussion / Check engine light
« on: June 11, 2018, 11:57:26 am »
 :help

On my journey from New York state to Alaska my check engine light has come on four times.  I've had it scanned and a P 0300 (random misfiring) comes up on the scanner.  So far after three shop visits, no one has been able to correctly diagnose or permanently fix this problem.  I am considering aborting my trip as I do not feel comfortable being so far from assistance.  Currently in Canmore, Alberta waiting for the Ford shop to schedule me in, hopefully today.

General Discussion / Re: alignment
« on: May 01, 2018, 04:15:57 pm »
I would do it now before the tires start to show the cupping.  From what I have read on here, most people have found that the rigs are out of alignment.

I have the in-dash unit in my 2016 PC and probably would not elect to have one in the next PC as there is a glare issue and also the fact that it is not angled toward the driver, making it difficult to see.  The other issue is that once you turn the engine off, the gps is off so there is no working on your route until you restart and then there is warm up time.

This sounds like a great idea to me also.  An opportunity to share ideas and problems with those of common interests.  There are many fairgrounds, both county and state, that have accommodations for RV's that are generally available during non-fair times.  Just a thought.

General Discussion / rain leak
« on: February 06, 2018, 09:18:53 pm »
I have rain leaking through the headliner over the windshield on the passenger side of my 2016 2351.  I climbed on roof but could find no entry point - such as bad caulking.  Would appreciate any ideas? :'(

General Discussion / Re: PHOENIX USA, INC. sold to new owner / operators

I want to add my welcome to Phoenix USA and hope that you both will be able to continue to wonderful customer service I have experienced over the past year.  Now I know why the office was so crowded when I was there in August!  Again, welcome, and please continue to produce these wonderful fun-inspiring vehicles.

I had a similar problem with my 2016 2351.  If I was hooked up to city water I had a flood either in the bathroom or coming under the refrigerator.  Then the city water starting migrating over into the holding tank and overflowing that.  So last spring I consulted with Kermit and he said I could either have a new valve installed or have that one capped, requiring using the fill on the passenger said.  I elected to have it capped but on the current trip have still been having problems with city water going into the tank.  I need to contact PC again.

General Discussion / Re: Side mirrors
« on: June 18, 2017, 04:00:47 pm »
As "Barry-Sue" reported, it was the retaining clip at the junction of the swing arm that broke.  I found the black cap and pieces of brass colored retaining clip on the ground in my driveway.  I called Kermit and he said he hears about similar occurance  about once a year.  Lucky me.  But I was lucky that it  did not happen on the turnpike at 60 MPH.  Kermit sent me a new one and a local mobile repair installed it.  I don't see how this can be avoided because there is no reason it happened except for poor quality retaining clip.

General Discussion / Side mirrors
« on: June 09, 2017, 08:29:21 am »
Just curious if anyone else has had their side mirror fall apart.  I, fortunately, was parked in my driveway when I noticed parts of my driver's side mirror lying on the ground.  This is about the bracket where it swivels, leaving the mirror itself just sitting on the arm.  Kermit is sending me a replacement, again fortunately, but what if this had happened while traveling down the road.  Any others had similar situations?

General Discussion / Sagging rear end
« on: April 13, 2017, 07:34:34 am »
Not mine but the 2351's.  I have a rack on the hitch to carry my bike and kayak and there are times when leaving or entering a parking lot that it will drag.  Has anyone successfully done anything to raise the rear of your PC?  Thanks

General Discussion / Re: Furnace not working
« on: April 13, 2017, 07:30:52 am »
Update on my furnace issue - It was the motherboard.  Technician showed me the corrosion before calling Atwood and requesting a replacement.  Yesterday I had the new motherboard installed which included an adaptation to locate it upside down, hopefully keeping it dry.  I am very pleased with the service I received from S&S Mobile RV and Atwood's quick response.

Tips and Tricks / Re: 4 Way Water Fill Valve
« on: April 07, 2017, 04:15:07 pm »
Glad that you were able to fix your problem. My first problem with the valve on my 2016 2351 was when I woke up to find water flowing onto the bathroom floor and another time it came out from under the fridge.  PC replaced the valve.  Then the new one malfunctioned as yours did by filling the holding tank. I got fed up with it and elected to have PC close off the valve so that I will be filling the holding tank using the fill on the passenger side.
