  Hello, after spending some time in the Phoenix, AZ area I decided to upgrade to a 15000 btu roof A/C from the 13,500 unit that came factory installed and hope this will improve the cooling enough in our 3100 PC so it is tolerable in hot climate....I have seen a few PC's that have two roof A/C but know it would be too spendy to put 50 amp service in my coach.

  Here is an update to my original post.   The Atwood 15000 btu heat pump seems to make a big difference  in cooling our coach...(for the better!)  however neither my wife or I can deal with the constant shutting off and restarting of the unit when it cools off at night and the thermostat is more easily satisfied...This shutting down and restarting has prompted me to order a Coleman 15000 btu roof unit to replace the Atwood unit because the Coleman has a constant running  fan and when the thermostat is satisfied only the compressor kicks out, the fan continues to run at the preset speed, making  it much easier to sleep.  So far the Coleman unit seems to cool about the same or maybe a little better than the Atwood...Had no trouble selling the Atwood here on the desert what with the hot summer we have had this year.  Incidentally the Coleman is an A/C only model (no heat pump)  and we may add the electric heat device later. Thanks for the reply Mike, your suggestions all sound like they might help...we thought maybe we could shut the sliding door to the bath area to make the inside smaller, don't spend too much time in the toilet during the hottest part of the day anyway...I found a great deal on an Atwood 15K with heatpump and it seems to move a lot more air than the original Penguin ll unit.   Hello, we are Karl and Joyce Dingman... we live in south central New Mexico. We have been RV'ers since 1962 and have used everything fom a 8' pickup camper to a 40' Bus conversion... We are now happy with our 2010 PC 3100 and have recently sold our 2005 2550 PC.
  Looking forward to meeting some of the folks around the country and attending some PC events...
