General Discussion / Re: PC Weight Label

Ragoodsp, had it right when he said "I hate to say it but I think you are going to be surprised and not pleasantly so, The Cat's will tell the story."

I just returned from the CATS scale near Lockhart, TX and sure was not pleasantly surprised.  Front axle 4440 lbs and rear axle 9320 lbs for a total of 13,760 lbs; max capacity for the E-450 is 14,600.  Just me in the coach (6' at 211 lbs), full 55 gallons of fuel, less than half tank of LP, 15 gallons of water, empty grey/black tanks, fully equipped kitchen but zero food, lightly equipped bath (4 bath towels, 2 hand and 4 wash clothes), one set of bedding for the rear queen bed and one set for the sofa bed, two light lawn chairs, small tool case, and a few odds and ends. No clothes, computers/phones/chargers, DVD, video games, reading material

Must add the wife and two young grand kids which I estimated at 250 lbs; she refuses to divulge her weight. Plus tow bar and toad hitch weight at 500 lbs. Food and incidentals estimated at 150 so I'm overweight.  I know I can throw away the bedspread and throw pillows on the rear bed, rearview mirror on windshield (loss of compass and thermometer), old Rand McNally Atlas and buy my Irish whiskey in half pint bottles instead of the gallon bottle for a weight savings of 10 lbs.  If wife and I lose 20 pounds each we have saved a total of 50 lbs but the coach is still over weight.

Great info everyone and looking forward to getting my coach weighed. Do most commercial, certified scales offer corner weighing option or do I need to call around to find this capability?  Price is of no concern when safety is the issue.

Speaking of safety, currently have Michelin LT225/75R16E tires, fours years old.  Assuming the coach is very close to the weight limit should I upgrade the tires?  Yes, I can remove a few items and might save 100 lbs but I don't have lots of extras in the coach.

The thin, yellow strip on the passenger door jam is the only thing "specific" to the CCC of the 2910T.  I assumed federal laws required a more informative weight sticker to be posted but will have to live with the cryptic, scant info on this yellow sticker.  It claims the CCC is 2,016 lbs and then states that the weight of water, occupants, possessions and hitch weight must be considered as CCC but says nothing regarding gasoline and LP weights. Sure wish Phoenix USA had declared the dry weight of the coach.  Will head to the CAT scales with full LP tank, fuel, 10 gallons of water, all other fluids and possessions to confirm I'm not exceeding the coach's 14,600 lbs GVW. Nor exceeding the rear axle rating of 9,600 lbs or the front axle rating of 5,000 lbs.  Thanks again to all for your input.

Thanks to all for the replies.  The photo of the Motorhome Weight Information sticker is what I have been looking for since this is what I have always seen in my other motorhomes.  Looked in all of these locations and no stickers.  Sent an email to Earl with my VIN so maybe he can provide a copy of the weight sticker.

I own a 2014 PC 2910T and trying to find the manufacturer's weight label in the coach?  Anyone know where PC puts this label?
