General Discussion / Loss of shore power
« on: June 08, 2014, 12:54:06 pm »
My old RV's generator would start if there was a loss of shore power. We always worry about this since we sometimes leave our pups in the coach when we go out. Does our 2350 do this, and if not, how can we get it installed?

I had included this in a discussion of my generator problem ( my fault) and also mentioned valve extenders and tire pressure monitors. The good suggestion was made that I start a new topic so here it is. I'd like to hear about your experiences with valve extenders and tire pressure monitors, since there seems to be some differences of opinion about both. Thanks in advance. This forum and the factory have all been as helpful as I could have hoped for.

General Discussion / Re: Roof air not working
« on: June 02, 2014, 02:28:56 pm »
I learn something new every time something goes wrong. The main thing I learn is that it is usually operator error. The roof air stopped working because the genset was overloaded because I had too many things on or plugged in. But I learned about the generator circuit breaker and that I have to be careful in what I have on. Everything seems fine now. Thank you all for your help.

By the way, I have been reading various opinions about tire valve extenders and tire monitoring systems. I'd be interested in hearing your opinions.

Thanks again,

Thanks for all your help. I think the generator reset switch needs to be used, but I don't know where it is on the generator.

We've got a 2013 2350. It was parked for a little over a week. Coach batteries were dead but showed fully recharged after running the engine for about 15 minutes. I started the generator and shut off the engine, and house batteries showed one light. Meanwhile, I tried to run the roof air conditioner, and it wouldn't come on. I ran the generator for about 15 minutes, and checked the circuit breaker. Wall thermostat was set for 72, but I waited another 10 minutes or so and the air conditioner never came on. Any thoughts on this would be very much appreciated, since my mechanical abilities are, on a scale of 1-10, zero.

General Discussion / Re: Cracked shower pan on 2350

Update on my cracked shower pan. Kermit sent out a new one, and paid for the mechanic in FL to install it. Now good as new. And by the way, the mechanic hadn't worked on a PC before, but commented that it was the best built RV he had ever seen.

Let me add that we purchased a used 2350 from the factory and the service and support we have we received for the few problems we have had has been beyond anything we have ever experienced from a company in the past. Everything we have asked about or needed has been responded to quickly, accurately and without any question. The RV has performed well, we find it suits our needs perfectly and we have the added confidence of knowing Kermit and his people are behind us 1000 percent. They don't just go the extra mile, they go an extra million miles or whatever it takes. They are just wonderful people to deal with.

General Discussion / Cracked shower pan on 2350
« on: March 23, 2014, 03:23:02 pm »
 I recently bought a used 2013 2350 from the factory .
The previous owner told me the shower  pan had cracked & he used epoxy to fix it.
The factory replaced the pan before I got it and the first time I tried to use it, found it had cracked again. I tried to repair it and found there was no support under the crack, which was on the  drivers side and ran the whole length of the pan. I spoke to Earl who promised to look into it (the factory has been very responsive to any of my concerns). It appears that the pan is made of a very flimsy material that needs to be supported  and should be replaced with something much stronger.Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Hi All,

We just purchased our 2013 2350 used from the factory. We had a Class A for about 4 years (and 40,000 miles) and sold it a few years ago. We are into photography and need to keep our two little dogs with us, and we wanted a small RV that we could park anywhere without a tow. We live in West Palm Beach and plan to visit as many Florida national parks as possible on long weekends. We're just getting the feel of the coach and will probably have tons of questions as we go along, since, as you know, the owner's manual is kind of skimpy. I must say that the factory has been very responsive. There were a few missing parts and I cleverly broke the ladder trying to figure out how to use it, but the parts came to us within a few days. We're looking forward to some great times and great pictures.
