2012 Fiat stick shift behind a 2005 2350.. Hook it up to tow bar, put in neutral, brake down and go.. Do not even have to mess around with ignition set up.. Perfect for two people. fun car.

Drove thru last year with car. Beautiful campsites, all looked level, many right on water.  If you need food goods etc , get first because its a TRIP to go back out.. I would take my 2350 there but I would use a toad.

We tow a 2012 Fiat  500 stick shift using Blue Ox 6k wgt tow bar and Patriot brake system. Set car in neutral, brake off, No key needed and tow away. No other requirements. Car is perfect to zip around anywhere in if just two of you. Got lucky. bought Fiat with full tow package, fully wired, and even bike holder for back end.

My driver seat is peeling too. Phoenix  gave me the name of the company who supplies the seating.  I have tried calling and emailing a number of times and left messages.  They will not ever acknowledge the call.

I have an O5 2350 with executive seats that were standard issue. Seat is cracking. Is there a way to delay more cracking!?  Anyone found covers for these seats yet?

General Discussion / Re: towing. is it worth it for a 24ft?
« on: March 26, 2016, 09:58:31 pm »
Thanks to everyone for all your comments.. Two points. One, we have traveled in VW vanagon campers since 1970. On our third now which is 25 years old and semi restored. we bought a 2005/  2350 last spring  so it is like a castle to us. As for towing, I am nervous about it BUT, we just bought a Fiat 500 already fully rigged for towing with very low milage and in mint condition. I have read a lot of negative reports about the Fiat but I figure for what we paid and it does not work out well at least we now know.. Early 70's already so figure rather than sit there at 85 and ask ourselves why we never tried the bigger RV and tow we will be able to say we did and either we liked it or did not but we tried it.. Next try will be a pontoon boat, after RV of course.    I am already trying to figure out when to tow an when not to but I see the best advise says better to have it and not use it than to not have it and want it.    So, off we go!

is it worth towing with a 24 foot if we move most of the time.. we do explore all day when we are out but at a different site each night.

General Discussion / Re: short time storage

first year owning a 2005   2350... Have to store in storage place outdoors in Pa. for winter, Dec to May 1.
Flush and antifreeze all fluids, completely clean, refridge door open, remove mattress, close propane, full tank with Stabil, run generator to run in stabil, flush hot water heater, park on wood under tires, removed both batteries and put inside . Not around to run it during winter storage. Will see how it fairs first year.
