Bill.
You need to get out of there for at least 3 months. Become a snowbird>

We are the sunbirds-- love New England in the summer. Not so much in the winter!!

We need a garage too. Sick of paying storage.

Stay warm>>>>

One word describes it.....Torture!

Though our PC is nested indoors, I still have a whole lot of snow to move when it hits.  it's 125 feet from the edge by me to the street.  With a 2-day thaw, I was able to scrape off the last of it today so our guests can walk around and get up the hill without concern.

I think more is coming tomorrow.  I envy you snow birds.

Oh how I wish I had a heated driveway.

We had a thaw the past two days which gave me the opportunity to scrape off the build-up of packed-down snow that had turned into ice.  My biggest fear is someone walking down the driveway suddenly experiencing a 70 foot long toboggan run.

Gee guys, we've only had 213.2 inches so far this season, but you know,
we DON'T have flood,earthquake, hurricane, fires,etc., etc.
Why should we leave for that?? The snow will mealt.

The photo below is at a place where many snow birds come during the winter.  Some would say it's in the middle of nowhere, but it's actually between San Diego and the Salton Sea (about 75 miles south of our winter location of Palm Desert.)  It's next-door to the Anza-Borrego Desert State Park (the largest state park in California)

Every year we stay for a couple of weeks at the award winning Springs at Borrego RV Resort just outside of the busy little town of Borrego Springs.  We love hiking the nearby desert trails and soaking in the mineral baths in the RV resort.  There are many other activities here, including a 9-hole championship golf course.  Among the many little shops in town are two of our all-time favorite restaurants.

Not bad for a place in the middle of nowhere!
