Just got an e-mail from Phoenix Cruiser with links to inventory, appearances and the Good Sam Louisville Rally, etc. It starts off with the phrase: Something look funkified in this email? View it on the web. I had never have seen that word “finkified,” so I looked it up. Google has never heard of it either. Actually the word sounds like something my wife would say; she makes up words to suit the occasion. She’s from Kentucky. Seems like Aimée’s from Kentucky also and does the advertising for PC. If so, must be a Kentucky girl thing. :-D

I remember hearing it in the '60's and early '70's, but I'm from southeastern Ohio.

Well, I wasn't born until 1974 so I didn't hear it from the 60's or early 70's, but I am fond of adding "ified" to the end of any word that I think fits. :lol

At the end of the 1950's our beloved Beatniks went the way of the Dinosaurs.
The 60's produced Hippies and Flower Children, as well as Peaceniks.
We were Groovy. As the Rascals song states "Groovin on a Sunday afternoon". and yes we are Baby Boomers.
Then came the 70's and Funky people. Maybe Funk and Wagnalls was taking the place of Webster's Dictionary.
So Funky was in Groovin was out.
All I know the years went by fast.
Now I'm retired, and I'm goin Groovin in my Funky Phoenix.
Totally Funkified
