Title: Electrical mystery - kitchen electric outlet has moods

We went to the West Coast Intervec-Phoenix get-together last weekend
(wonderful people, very welcoming to a new couple), and the kitchen
outlet stopped working.  What re-started it was wiggling the stove vent
lever..

How weird is that?  Anybody got an insight?

That is very wierd.  I would first start by killing the power to that outlet, remove it's cover plate and inspect the connections.  If all is well, then.........
