Title: Shelf Installed - Another Mod
Post by: Barry-Sue on April 19, 2012, 02:07:41 pm
Just completed another mod to the 2551 and that is to add a shelf in the cabinet above the drivers seat.  I use this cabinet for some of my bowls and miscellaneous kitchen items.  There is a lip on the front of the shelf so that things do not slide off.  This picture just shows various items placed on the shelf to depict that there is actually alot of room.  I will arrange it so that things do not fall over.  I also like to put my paper towel rolls in the front of the cabinet, that way if anything decides to take a fall it will not have room to move.

We had these same shelves installed in our 2008 model and they worked great.

Great idea guys!  I have been soaking in all of your mod's, and hope to integrate most of them into my 2350 when its built in late May. heartshower

If I were you I would be getting really excited.  Hopefully it will be early in May!!!  I can't wait for our next trip in 3 weeks and we just got back from 3 months in FL about 3 weeks ago.

Your shelf looks good, we'll probably want to install the same, and, I like the idea of the paper towels in front. Hadn't thought of that. Thanks.  :)

When we got our 2551, George made a bookcase for that same cabinet. Don't do that!! Every time we stop, all the brochures fall all over and out.
We need to find a way to secure them in the cabinet.

It is really nice to have them accessible but just an annoyance to straighten them up.
