Title: Helpful Rating Abuse
Post by: aimee on April 08, 2012, 03:23:26 pm
Hey guys, y'all know I love you, and you know I'm passionate about the integrity of this forum.  Every week I put in a lot of time behind the scenes making sure you get your content without offers for Viagra or Eastern European brides or worse. I hope you guys can understand how personally I take it when one member repeatedly dings another member's helpful rating over a disagreement about which options, vacation locales, or chassis, or anything else is best. If you disagree, feel free to click, but when evidence shows that someone comes back to the forum several times a day for no reason but to ding another person's helpful rating then it feels more like bullying than the forum I'm trying to build for you guys.

Going forward if the records show that a member is engaging in a non-stop campaign of rating manipulation, I will be forced to limit the member's account to "read only".

Please play nice.  kumbaya

Aimee,

Another example of the behind the scenes work you do to make this a great forum for us.  I really appreciate what you do and sometimes forget that you are there making sure that this is an enjoyable experience for all.  Keep up the good work.

Yes, thank you for all you do.  I don't think we need bullies here.  Especially anonymous ones  pyho pyho

thanks guys!

You all truly are, in my opinion, the best group of folks to be found on the Internet anywhere. You're knowledgeable, funny, informative, generous with your time and information.  You guys bend over backward to make new members feel welcome and to look up info or help them find a Cruiser on sale or a photo, etc. You don't complain when new members come in and ask questions that all new members ask.  You're just a friendly bunch and I'm happy to work behind the scenes and let you guys do your business. :)

Just noticed something. You only have five stars. Guess it relates to how many messages you've posted but for all the work you do you deserve at least six and maybe more stars. I vote for more stars!
Thank you.  tymote

Marilyn & Paul did you notice that Aimee's star are bigger and brighter than everyone else? There is good reason for this.

 :lol

I think it makes moderators or admins have bigger stars, and yes the number of stars is related to the number of posts.  I added a 6th star recently and a hidden board that only those with 6 stars can see and post in.  :cool
