Title: I must be an idiot!

I have been trying for days and days to post pictures on the forum. Everytime I submit a post, it says my file is too large. I've adjusted the picture to be less than the 128 kb (I think), but they still won't go through. Any idea what I could be doing wrong????

We usually have the same problem, but this time it worked. Hate to try to post pictures 'cause we never know if it will go.

I have a Mac, I select the picture to where it's full size, Click tools, Click Adjust Size and go from there. If your under 128kb, I also am lost. :'(

I have a Dell laptop. I see I was able to get my profile pic on here a long time age. Hmmmm......wonder how I did that????    (WH)

Open in Paint.

Resize - as many times as it takes to get to the appropriate size.

Save as - new file name.

Go to "Additional Options" on this page.

Browse til you find the renamed resized image, open, post.

Easy, peasy.

Not an idiot.

OK, SOUNDS easy! lol   Actually, that's exactly what I'm doing. BUT, I did just think of something......  I wonder if it's saving both the larger pic and the smaller one and I'm still trying to post the wrong one.  Hmmmm, I shall return, either very happy or even more frustrated!! 

We're getting ready for FL and I have so much more to do than this, but it's driving me crazy.  >(

OK, after freezing up my computer I finally THINK I have them reduced corrrectly. I'm going to try one here. If it works, I will progress to "Tips and Tricks" for explainations.

Really? That would be fun. We are staying at Oyster Bay Senior RV Park the last couple of weeks in Jan. Then we r moving on up the coast a bit.

The computers are just out to get us, plain and simple.  >:(



For future reference, the max size of pic that can be posted is 1000px wide by 800px tall. The weight of the photo (KB, MB, etc) will vary based upon the number of colors and image format.
