Put 1200+ miles on the new motorhome and had a chance to test the Visio TV on the swivel mount. There was no flexing or any movement of the TV no matter what the road conditions were. The small shelf that the TV sits on worked perfectly in keeping the TV stable for travel and tight against the wall so there was no flexing. We had forgotten about the TV for about 500 miles when the DW said WOW the TV doesn't make a sound. We are very pleased with our mount.
Another benefit is that the TV can be swiveled so that it can be seen from either bed in the 2551. Bonus--we don't have to install a small TV in the bedroom area.

Has anyone done a mount that lowers the TV? Instead of a swivel mount that goes side to side, a vertical one that would have the TV in the normal stowed position for travel but would drop it about 6 inches when you want to watch it.

Did you ever think of getting a swivel mount and mounting it sideways, i.e. instead of it swiveling it would lower and raise. Look at something like this http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082802&p_id=8097&seq=1&format=2
Go to one of the discount stores and take one of their mounts and play with positioning it and see if it will work. When mounts first came out they were very expensive so we found an under the cabinet mount on clearance and mounted it sideways and it is still being used as a swivel mount today. Works great as a swivel even though it was meant as an under the cabinet mount.

When we had our Sprinter we would get stiff necks when we watched TV. The TV is higher than the TV in the Ford. We looked for a mount and didn't find one until after we traded the Sprinter in on the PC 2551. I am sure they are out there somewhere. Check out Morryde.com. They have a large assortment of mounts.
