Title: easy to carry/strore laundry detergent
Post by: gradygal on October 30, 2011, 11:07:35 am
When we took our 2 month trip last summer, I brought along Purex Complete 3-in -1 laundry sheets. They have detergent, fabric softener and anti-static all in one sheet. They come in a plastic dispenser-20 sheets. Easy to store and use. Just drop the sheet in the washer and put it in the dryer. Works well.

Judi,

I like this idea.  Do you know if they come in fragrance free?

The other thing I bought last year was the shout "color catchers" - and they really work.  If you get some color in with the whites nothing runs.  It's amazing that the sheet catches the color and you can actually see the colors on the color catcher.

I don't know. We both hate "anything" with a strong scent and these sheets were very lightly scented.

I tried them on the last trip.   With lots of laundry, it was great not having to lug a heavy soap container, too!   :)

Hi Judi,
Thanks for writing to me and where do you get these sheets? It sounds like a fabulous alternative!

Cordy,
I think I got them at either Walgreens or our supermarket. I believe Walgreens had them on sale last week. There is sometimes a coupon for them in the Sunday paper.

They worked out really well. I don't use them at home 'cause they are more expensive that regular liquid detergent.
