In my cabinets where I tend to nick the corners when getting things out I have attached the 90 degree plastic corner guards like seen here:

They are virtually undetectable when the doors are closed and do not hinder the doors from closing since they are just a thin, clear plastic. They are generally sold in the wall paper department and used for corners that are wall papered. They actually make the cabinet bottoms look very nice. They are self adhesive so you just cut to length, peel the paper off the adhesive and place on the bottom edge of the cabinet. I did this to our 2008 model and the edges looked brand new. I bought mine on clearance at meijers for 74 cents for an eight foot length.

Update: Bought four more today and they were on clearance for 29 cents an eight foot section. What a deal!

Now that is a really :cool little idea. I will have to see about that for one of my winter projects for our PC this winter.
