Title: Laundry Storage
Post by: Barry-Sue on October 25, 2011, 03:56:33 pm
I purchased a recycling bin to store our dirty laundry.  I purchased it at the Ikea store in MI.  It fits nicely in the 2551 closet.  We did have to remove the center post to get it in but once in it is a great fit.  We can still hang clothes above it as well as use the top as a shelf and still have room to hang long items.  What I liked is it has a few vent holes with a lid that is hinged about 1/3 of the way so you can open it and just toss in the clothes.  It is made by Sortera.

I like it. We use a laundry bag that is thrown in the shower and it is not a good solution especially when we are on a long trip.

I will try to find something like it. We do not have an Ikea down here.

We use the popup laundry hamper pictured, kept in the shower.  Admittedly, it is not ideal come shower time, nor is it very durable.  My wife buys them at our local dollar store.  They last a couple years before catastrophic failure.  Something solid would be better, but there is no real good place for something like that in our 2350.

We have the same bag as Ron's; hung on the inside of the bathroom closet door (one of those portable, plastic hooks over the top of the door) in our 2551.  Does the job & folds up nicely when not in use.  Due to its remarkable ventilating qualities, we also put an air freshener in the closet!   :obm

What I also like about the recycling bin is that you could hang up or place an air freshener inside and it doesn't allow for any smell into the closet.
