We finally picked up our new 2551 on Monday 10/17. (yahoo) Our first comment is that all of the people at Phoenix Cruiser are the BEST. Our 2551 is absolutely beautiful. We didn't think that any unit would be better built than our 2008 2350 but somehow the folks at Phoenix out did themselves.
Since we were so close to the 2012 model year when we ordered we opted for the best of both years. We ordered our full body paint in Classic Umber, the wood grain dash and we choose to keep the 2011 couch. The 2012 lounging couch is beautiful but was to deep for my wife to comfortably sit on. We had two pages of special request and Phoenix delivered on each and every one.
We've attached pictures of our two favorite features. The swivel front seats and the bathroom sink cover. We had the power driver seat in the 2008 model and it was very seldom used. Wanting another guest seat we ordered the driver seat with the swivel mount. It reclines without interference of the steering wheel. And now no more complaints about not having enough counter top in the bathroom. The sink cover is perfect!
We'll post more pictures as we get organized.

Finally!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats on the new "baby". George and I have been wondering when you were going to pick it up. Looks great. Like the bathroom sink cover.
Where is the TV? Love the swivel seats.
Now for your trip to Florida. We have reservations for Franklin Locks on Nov.1 and 2. Tried to get them around the time you will be here but the place was all booked-as usual, in season.
Post more pictures; gotta see what you did to make the 2551 more comfy. Again, congrats. We know you will love it.

Judi,
We are installing our own TV. We have a Visio and bought a specially made for RVs swivel mount. Probably won't get installed for a couple of weeks.
I will privately send you our Florida schedule. We have a couple of weeks in W P Franklin in January and 10 days in February. Let's make sure we get together this year.

Would love to see pics when you ge the TV installed. Congratulations on everything else associated with your new unit!

Congrats to you!
With the driver seat swiveling, you won't miss the 3rd seat in a 2552. I also like your night stands, one on each side of the front seats. Is that stock or special requested?
Funny about the sink cover. I bet they have been throwing them all away.

Ron,
I think we are the first to have the little side table on the drivers side. We specifically asked for it since we were having the driver seat swivel. It comes in handy when sitting there and needing a place to set a drink. My DW says it should be easy for me to see when I back the PC out of the garage. No need to turn my neck just swivel the seat. :lol
The 2551 fits great in the garage. The 2552 would have fit length wise but there would have been no room to manuever it around.

Congrats Berry on your new PC. Can you post more pictures of your changes.
Tuesday morning, I was at the factory looking in on my new 2552, just to see it being build. I understand how hard it is to wait this long to get the new one. Feels like a Christmas eve that is going on for a couple of months. Mine is still about a month away from delivery. I like your changes. You said you had two pages of changes. If you would be so kind as to send them to me so I can look them over and maybe incorporate them into my unit. I had about a dozen changes to the standard unit, but mostly just deleted things. I did not want the roof rack or the roof vent in the bedroom. I had them put Fantastic fans in the living room and the bathroom vents. Ship the coffee pot and the fire ext. loose, and so on. While I was at the factory, I asked Bobby for another outside cabinet on the drivers side, like the 3100 has. He did not have one that would fit but he said he could put a metal box with a door like the other two doors on that side. Works for me, as I want it to carry the stinky slinky hose in for the 3" dump. He could do this because of the extra foot the 2552 has over the 2551. As you can see my changes are not nearly as imaginative as yours, so please send yours to me.
Thanks
Tom

We are in process of puting togeter our order and would appreciate your list
for ideas. Love the double swivels (we had them in our Pleasureway) but with
the larger unit & Dee being under 5 ft., the power is a must!

@my Yellowstone buddy Tom:
I did not realize you were getting a 2552. Way to go. We love our new 2552. What a difference in sleep positions and cargo capacity.
@Barry. Wow!! You must have a lot of time on your hands to come up with those list of options. When I grow up, I hope to be as smart as you.
Extra length on the new mh required me to add another garage door to the pole barn. Because the new mh is so long I can not get my tractors around the back of it to get them out. Am installing another door on the back side so that I can get tractors out..... As I told my wife. " It is solely our responsibility to keep the economy going!""

David I know that you bought the 2552 at the show so you would not have to endure this long wait. :lol
I am glad to hear from you and Berry, whom I talked to last night about his new 2551, how much you two and everyone else likes the 2500s PCs over the 2350.
Berry has some very interesting mods done to his unit. Thank you Berry and Sue for going over them with me and my wife. 2o2

Okay now Barry-Sue, you got to post your mods for us all to read. Come on....give it to us. Don't leave me hanging here.

Wow! It's beautiful and I love the sink cover; great idea! I wonder if I have time for them to make me one for my new 3100 I'm expecting?
Thanks for sharing; can't wait to see more pics when you get time.
Congrats to you

Hi Barry and Sue
When we had ordered our new PC 2552 you sent me the list of your options also. My wife and I went over the list and chose what was right for us, a lot of your items we had already requested. The one item that sparked a lot of conversation between us was the bathroom sink cover. She said it would be a good thing to have but could live without it. I thought it would be more trouble than it was worth, having to remove it every time I wanted to use the sink. Kind of like how women insist on putting the toilet cover down, just so we have to lift it up all the time. Just another thing us men learn to live with. Also it would be one more thing to have to check before hitting the road. Anyway I did call the factory and asked if they could find one for us and that I already knew ours had been cut and long gone. When we picked up the rig at the factory we forgot all about it and never asked again. I am pretty sure if I persured it I could get one from the factory.
My questions is; do you use it and how do you feel about it now that you have had it for awhile?

Tom,
My wife loves the sink cover. It does not have to remain on the sink --only when she uses it. She stores it in the linen cabinet standing on the cut out side to stabilize it or it also fits very nicely just behind the toilet. She puts it on the sink when she uses it and takes it off when she's done. She likes it because she has a place to put her hair dryer, curling iron, combs & brushes, makeup--whatever. Life is very good in the 2551.
