Yesterday we went to the RV show in Hershey, Pa. It was senior day, buy one ticket and get one free. I took my wife with me, nice of me huh. After walking around and seeing a lot of the new motorhomes, we stopped at the Phoenix booth to see the 2012 models and colors. I guess, at least I am going to blame it on, the new motorhome smell got to us and we could not control ourselves. We really like the new 2552 model. As much as we like out 2350, the 2552 kept calling our name. Since Stuart was almost "giving them away", we jumped in with both feet and ordered an new 2552 in full paint cafe. So now the long wait to get it begins. I sure hope we are doing to right thing, giving up mobility for inside space.
We did meet several other PC owners there and it was great to meet them. Hi again everyone.

Well, Well, Well!!! Another convert from a 2350. You will love the interior space.
We are very happy with the interior accomodations of our 2551 (would have been a 2552 if we had known about it last Nov. when we placed our order).
Now, if we can do something about the ride of the Ford, we will be happy. The 2350 Sprinter was a much nicer ride. We plan to take the 2551 to the Ford dealer in Ft. Myers to see about new shocks.
Congrats on the new "baby"

Judi and George, I am a big fan of Bilstein HD shocks with a tire air pressure of 70 lbs. Ride is not as hard with the lower 70 lbs pressure but is still very well controlled. If Koni made the FSD for the E-450, I might try them but they don't at this time. So shortly after I get the new 2552, I will have Bilsteins put all the way around. It takes about 8000 miles for the Bilsteins to break in but after that they are the best IMO. I got the shocks from eshocks.com and had them put on the 2350 locally.

Congrats on ordering the 2552 Tom.
I'd be interested to hear what modifications/options you selected.
At the rate they seem to be taking orders; I may be able to get a used one by next May!

y-- y-- Congratulations on the new addition. We know how you feel waiting for the new one to arrive our new 2551 should be ready in about 3 weeks. I agree with you on the Bilstein shocks, we had them on our 2008 2350 and they worked great. We don't think there will be much of a loss of mobility going from a 2350 to a 2551 or 2552.

We got just about all the options except Insulated glass and the satellite dish. We got the leather euro chair and sofa. My daddy always said if it is free or cheap, grab for it. Since Stuart was almost giving this motorhome away I when for everything. As for mods, mostly We just eliminated some thing, No mirrors on bathroom door, plan on putting towel bars there, No vent in the bedroom, move the fantastic fan to the bathroom and add one in the living room, shelves in the shirt closets, no roof rack and wood grain dash, didn't like to black dash.

Congratulations on the future new addition to your family. You will be quite pleased with your new found space.

I love hearing about new orders and all the options/customizations, etc. (cheer)
pyrthkr, you are indeed getting closer to being able to pick up a used one. I think I have 2 more used units I'm going to put up over the weekend for sale by owner, and I imagine Stuart's pulling in quite a few too!

Well, I guess it must be time for me to confess my sins too... I too have fixed my airbed problem with a new 2552 to be picked up shortly, ordered at Hershey. It looks like Phoenix will have another 2010 2350 for sale soon.
I was camping this weekend in NY state and on the way home the engine light came up and the mh was stalling out at stops. Sounds like an air leak problem. I took it to the ford dealer yesterday after we unloaded.

Way to go Dave. What color did you get?
Sturat must be whisling a happy tune this week. I heard this was the best Hershey show ever for sales.

You people are trading up like a PC is a PC. PC does not mean "personal computer". You have me smiling big here.
Interesting how some have went from a 2350 to a 2551 or 2552. My wife would be the first to admit getting in and out from our 2350 is not convenient. She does sleep against the window wall and I do get up for her to get out.
But if we traded for twin beds, our first trip out saying good night to eachother from across the isle, would be telling us we bought the wrong one.
Personally I think model 2950 (No slide for us) with a double or queen bed real close to the back wall with people sleeping sideways would work very nicely. It would be much easier for both to get out. Yes the isle person still has to get out first, but with an open floor - open room design, that would be so much easier. They could even make the bed higher like a fancy king size bed at Macy's, then build lots of drawers under it to be your bedroom dresser and other storage. With the bed higher and away a bit from the back wall, setting the bed would be very easy. Leave most else wide open as not to hit your head on anything when setting the bed. They could install a nice mirror on the back wall and nice mood lighting too. Make it real nice, maybe even romantic. ;) Okay.....hang a TV somewhere as an option. Just don't watch the football game in there. :lol
My 25'-0" garage won't handle anything longer than our 2350, so there is no PC upgrade for us. But such a modified 2950 would be nice.

Ron, you would probably like the 2700 since the bed has room on both sides. That was my first pc with a slide for the bedroom, no slide in the living room. The bed in the 2350 is not ideal, but I like our 2350 better.

@ Ron:
You have to remember I travel with 4 people all the time. Heck of difference.....
