Title: Liquid Tape
Post by: billy on September 06, 2011, 11:18:50 pm
I got this hair brain idea; why not seal all the wires under the rig. Good idea, huh? I jacked up the rear as high as I could get. Got the port-a-gee creeper and started to work. Removed ground wires, clean and reinstalled AND then the liquid tape. This stuff works pretty well. Did all the OEM connecters, the ends, not the slip joints, the steps, under the back where the tanks are, a lot of work but hopefully it will pay off. The head will heal, no hair to scrap off just a little skin.

I used silicone grease a few years ago, but this past spring when I wired in a back-up light switch, I noticed most of the grease was replaced with road grime.  My idea did not provide long lasting results.

Billy, Your liquid tape idea sounds much better.   2o2
