Title: backup camera replacement/upgrade
Post by: detspcl on July 18, 2011, 06:26:41 am
I am considering upgrading the backup camera on my 2008, 2900 PC. I am intrigued by the units that have "distance" indicators on the cab viewer. Has anyone ever owned a unit with that feature AND is it worth the upgrade?

tks

Chuck if your get some clear screen protector material (like the stuff for GPS's) put it on your monitor and get the helpful half back there with a two-way and a measuring tape it's pretty easy to take a Magic marker and save yourself a BUNCH of money.

I did what LG recommended by making a blank Dymo label and, using a traffic cone, marking footage on it at various distances from the Phoenix.
It really works well when I'm being followed by traffic cones.

Seriously, it does work reasonably well without expense.
