Just a few pics of our recent trip in the 2010 2551 (moved from Adventure Anywhere).

We are currently staying in Interlocken State Park through Monday to cover us through the Independance Day celebration in Traverse City. With a good location, an electric site and a dump station near by for $21 per night (no reservations was risky), we are very happy. Enjoying $15/9 $20/18 holes of golf near by. We are thinking of heading to Sleeping Bear Dunes NP tomorrow.
Right now at 10:00pm here, we are at the McDonalds with WiFi, enjoying a cup of coffee and icecream, at Rt 31 near the Menards, 5 miles east of Interlocken. My wife and I each have our own laptops here.......I think we have an adiction.
It's not the kind of vacation we typically do, but are enjoying the slower pace of it all. It was really nice to travel a couple hundred miles to the first destination, rather than our typical 1200+.
We are also enjoying the coastals of the eastern side of Lake Michigan. Given we tow our Jeep, the PC stays in the camp ground, so scenic PC pictures are nil so far.
Eventually we get to the UP area of Michigan, before turning around and head back home the same route to pick up things missed if time permits.

Sounds like you are having a good time. It's great to get away. July 26 is our departure date for New England and the Maritimes.
George was wondering where you were. I knew from a previous post--men don't retain as well.
Hope the weather is good and safe travels.

Can you send these to me in a bigger version so that I could use them on the website?
Thanks!

Aimee,
Please refresh me.........how do I send large JPEG files?

You should be able to e-mail them right to me comments@phoenixcruiser.com
Add as an attachment. Let me know if you're not sure how to do that.
Cheers!

I just needed the address.
Thanks.

If you hit the Lake Superior shore, be sure to stop in.

Hi Frank.
I lived in MI for 13 years and hunted the UP (near Rock) many times.
Great place.
Thanks for the invite.

Gradygal,
Sorry for the late response :'(.
We live in Milford, PA, almost at the corners of NY, NJ and PA (16 miles west of Port Jervis on I-84 & then 7 miles south of I-84 exit 34, (PA 739)).
A bit off-track for you but if you do get into the area, please stop by (you have a place to park, 20A power and water).
We'll keep a light on for ya.
BTW, Peg would like some hints about your trip to the Maritimes.
-
Thanks for the offer.
We have made reservations at Promised Land State Park for Thurs. July 28. We should get there about 4:00 P.M if everything goes as planned. We will be on Site 394. If that is close to you, please stop by.
Our plan is to leave early the next morning for Mattapoisett, MA.
We would like to meet, in person, as many of the Forum members that we can.
We hope to pop in at the Phoenix Reunion in NH in Sept. We don't have reservations but should be in the area then.
I would love to give you guys hints for a trip to the Maritimes. It is beautiful there.

Promised Land is not very far from to us and the 28th may be doable.
Regardless, we'll be at the 'Reunion' so if you get there, we'll have a glass of wine ready (or something a little softer).
As for the hints about the Maritimes, that's Peg's forte' (I'm just the Chauffeur).
When she asks me where we should go I do a Captian Kirk (point my finger and say 'That way").

A glass of wine is the "adult beverage" of choice for us! Nothing any stronger!
If you can drop by Promised Land we would be pleased. Otherwise, hope to see you in NH.
Got lots of info for Peg!

We'll try to make Promised Land (need phone number - ours = 570-686-1204).
BTW, where in FL do you live (we will be going down in the winter to visit with our daughter in Boca, our friends in Gainesville, Englewood (the Schulz's) and Santa Rosa Beach - high school & military things). Be there about 2 months with the 2552 & TOAD).
I seem to remember domething about Punta Gorda (where we and the Schulz's saw the 2551 and both later bought 2552 models) - bit of a story there - we & the Schulz's will be at the "Reunion" & then on to Bar Harbor).
Life is so short we have to fill it the best we can with as much as we can (& I'm a Gypsy who's lived in 11 states and 4 countries - Ahhh, the stories).
Hope to see you in PA soon.

I just sent you a private message. Let me know if you don't get it!
