Title: Charleston, Here I Come!
Post by: aimee on June 19, 2011, 08:26:05 pm
I wanted to let you all know I'm going to be away from my computer for the next week.  All four of my children are competing in the Power Tumbling and Trampoline nationals in Charleston, WV. and I'm not taking any work with me. For the kids and I, this is good--because it'll be the first time in ages that I haven't been chained to the desk for 14+ hours a day. For you guys, it means you're on your own.  I don't anticipate any problems from the regulars, and there are mods on hand if need be. For the newbies, though, it means you'll have to wait until I get back to get your membership approved. I'm sorry!!

Have a great time and we all hope that your children come home winners. I guess they are already winners, having a great mom like you. 2o2

Thanks, Guys!  I'm back home, but not officially "back" until tomorrow morning.  ;)

We had an amazing time. The city of Charleston was very gracious. The kids did really well. Between the 4 of them, we brought home a silver medal, a 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, and 10th as well as a few lower placings. It was the first national event for any of them, and the first year that two of them had competed, so we are very pleased.  now we have to tighten our belts a little bit and prepare for a trip to New Orleans for Jr. Olympics at the end of July.

Now that's good news (about the kids 2o2).

I just wish I could go back and do the things with my kids I did back in the day :'(.
Family is a passion----work is only a requirement.
Keep your priorities straight and you'll never be sorry  (nod).

Welcome back and we're all happy you had a great time.

(cheer)  Could not have said it any better...and I am in my 40's!!

But with all the travel you are doing I really think it is time for you to drive a Phoenix.  Maybe Kermit could let you drive a demo for PR???
