Recently drove my 2010 2551 to the PC factory for some minor cosmectic warranty work. To say the least the work was done to my satisfaction and in a very timely fashion. The staff members at the factory were super and did everything they could to accomadate me while in Elkhart. I think I may even gotten Stuart to crack a small smile, not positive! I regret that I missed Kermit who was off site while I was there. I sure hope the RV business can survive and get back to the numbers of units that were being manfactured only a few years ago. Very sad to see so many plants in the Elkhart region shuttered up. I again salute Kermit for running a tight ship at PC. Thanks

Agree 150%--on our way back to Florida from MA last year, we detoured to the Factory for a couple of issues. They were super!! Thank goodness, we don't have to detour this year--pretty far out of our way.

Ha !
We stopped by the factory to get a few pieces of Cherry wood and a Dinette table top for our 2010 2551. We wound up buying a new 2552S with Dinette and Euro chair (damned expensive wood ;) ).
We're in the Middlebury KOA for our 1st night and all's well.
We're happy :)(:
And, by the way, Stuart does smile.

too dang funny!!!

I know what 2552 is, but what is a 2552s? "S" means "Sprinter", right? They don't make a 2552 on a Sprinter, do they?
Are you referring "S" = slideout?
Here I go hijacking another thread.
-
Don't worry Ron we are use to that! roflol
-
As best I know, the S indicates a slide, which we have...........on a 2011 E450 Chassis.
So far, driving the secondary roads, as we prefer, we're getting over 10 MPG, which we can live with.
However, I really must avoid going to PC again.....................................(every time we've gone there we've left with a different Cruiser).

"every time we've gone there we've left with a different Cruiser"
How many does this make now?
I know several people have traded in their PC for a different one but you are the first I have read that went from a 2551 to 2552. If this is number three, you maybe the trade in champ.

That is a funny story. :lol I wonder how well they handle their visits to the new car dealer to get their first complimentary oil change? Maybe they get a new car every 3000 miles.
Just having fun here with rmmpe.
I do understand their decision. I would surely miss the 3rd captain seat we have in our 2350. Getting it back in a 2552 would be hard to resist.

If they built a 2552 on the Sprinter, believe me, we would have our 3rd PC--just don't tell George.

For Hanlon:
We traded in our 36' Alpine DP on a 2007 2350 in May, 2010; the 2007 2350 on the 2010 2551 in March, 2011 and the 2010 2551 in on the 2011 2552S in June.
And we ain't going back to the factory EVER again !!!!!!! - unless, of course, the world doesn't end in December 2012, which will require we trade up to a 2013 Whammo 2552S (S for Super this time).
And this for Dittmer:
All our other vehicles are Ford products, which require oil changes every 5,000 miles, smarty.
And we have that done by a friend.

Tom,
I've had RVs in one form or another since 1972 and, yes, I am sold on PC products (but I guess that's pretty obvious) heartshower.
Ron,
I kinda wonder about your use of the emoticon you chose (WH).

Just giving you a friendly hug. Don't read more into it...ha, ha.
