Title: Trix - L - Start
Post by: CapeCodPC on August 29, 2026, 11:36:22 am
New owner here.
We have a 2021 2351 D that has a Trix - l - start unit in the engine compartment. This unit started beeping whenever we start the engine and continues beeeping even After the camper is shut off. I can reset this by disconnecting the battery but will start again as soon as we used the unit. I have taken it in for service and have been told I need a new battery (which I expected) the service department has told me that they are recommending that I disconnect the Trix - l start unit that is serving no purpose but to drain the battery.
Any information on this subject will be appreciated.

Disclaimer, I've never seen one of these, but a quick search in Google offers this advice for the beeping...

Common Causes and Fixes

Low Starting Battery:
Your chassis battery voltage may have dropped below the warning threshold (typically under 11.9V), signaling that it is heavily discharged or failing.

Loose or Corroded Connections: Dirt, corrosion, or loose ring terminals on the house, chassis, or ground wires can interrupt the charging flow and trigger a false or low-voltage alarm.

House Charger Failure: If your shore power converter or solar setup is not actively charging the house bank, the system cannot maintain the starting battery.

I see that it has some indicator lights. Which ones are on?

Thanks Larry, I believe I have worked it out for now, will disconnect for now but leave in place and when I visit The Phoenix USA factory in October I'll review the system with them.
