Just FYI....
At our local Sam's Club in Elgin, IL on Randall Road.
I found these 3 different 6V batteries for sale, November/2025.
I have a pair of AGMs supporting our house operation in our PC for 10 years now. They are great and they are affordable.

Thank you Ron. That’s a great price. I’ll need to see if local Sam’s club carries them
Well sadly, not all Sam’s carry the same products. Local has Duracell 6 volt and 3 different batteries but none that are agm. Such is life

I did some poking around on the sams web site. Initially it didn't show these batteries... Until I searched for "golf cart battery" and then all 3 appeared.
A member can order them and pick them up at the service desk. It says there are not eligible for home delivery. (and you must initially pay for the typical refundable core exchange fee).
I did some random sams locations (Seattle, San Diego, Miami, Boston), i.e. the 4 corners, and I got the same price, so it appears to be a nation wide price.
I know that doesn't help if you need them "now". But, if you plan ahead you should be low to get these.

Searching on the Sam's Club website a few months ago, it said the AGMs were NOT AVAILABLE in my area, but there they were at the Elgin IL location. Maybe they just got in. As shown, they are fully stocked.

The Sam's Club in the other direction, 40 minutes apart, in Crystal Lake IL, they carry only the cheaper of the two FLAs. So there is inconsistency between adjacent Sam's Clubs. It may be best to actually go into each store in your area and set eyes on their stock of 6V golf car batteries. Maybe a phone call will suffice.

On Sam’s web site. I’ve tried the following searches
Duracell platinum GC2AGM
Duracell platinum GC2 AGM
Duracell GC2 AGM
Golf cart battery
Golf car battery
Duracell AGM
GC2
EGC2
I have no idea where I’m going wrong but I’ve yet to find those batteries listed.
I’d order them today if I could find where they are hiding.

I must agree... I just searched for the batteries and the findings are blank now.
However it suggests links to their 6v batteries as items that I have previously viewed. So I don't know why they are not offered as an official finding unless they pulled them from thru catalog.
Here's a copy of the links. If you copy paste them in a browser they works... Or at least 5 min ago they did.

Larry . It pops up but says not available for Shipping, pickup or delivery. I’m wondering if it might be regional.

I’m wondering if it might be regional.
I thought the same because nothing showed up on-line for locations in the Chicago area. But then I decided to check every area Sam's Club that I happened to be in for another reason, and to my surprise, I found plenty of 6Vs just 20 minutes from home.
I advise to stop in at any Sam's Club you drive by and see what they have. Pay no attention to what is stated on-line.

I’ve looked at the GC 2’s at Sams. Looks to me it requires a modification to the battery tray to fit the 2552. Don’t know how difficult that is. Come spring I’ll have to take a closer look. We don’t do much boon-docking but still I wouldn’t mind having the extra capacity.

Our 2007 PC battery compartment was the first year of two batteries in a slide-out tray on the passenger side mounted below floor level. I believe it is the same as all subsequent PCs with 12V batteries in a slide-out tray.
Some time over the years, Phoenix changed from two 12V batteries wired-parallel, to two 6V batteries wired-series, but I don't know if 6V batteries are still installed in new PCs today. Phoenix might have switched back to two 12Vs.... though I could not imagine the logic behind doing so.
Anyway, because 6V batteries are taller than 12Vs, I had to replace the slide-out battery tray with a steel stock plate to gain the extra height required. The plate I had around the house has a few bends in just the right places for the application. I cradled the batteries on the plate as shown by CLICKING HERE (https://www.flickr.com/photos/37432012@N08/albums/72157682845982114/).
Because I deleted the slide-out tray, I went with sealed AGM batteries as they require zero maintenance. I arranged the batteries with + and - terminals placed properly for ease of external charging and jumping which also works well with a kill-all disconnect switch that I added more recently.
For reference, CLICK HERE (https://www.flickr.com/photos/37432012@N08/albums/72157622075091526/) to see pictures of my original 12V batteries in the original slide-out tray. This photo album was made to show how I added a protective splash shield for the batteries from the rear tires. I don't know how Phoenix is protecting the batteries from the rear tires today, if they have since done so.

Tin, on my 2552, I pulled my tray, flattened the front lip to give me the needed length, removed the hasps,(no longer needed), swapped out my rails to a set with 500 lb capacity and lowered them as far as they could be installed. This gave me just over 11” of clearance in height and plenty of length. The two slots where the hasps used to grasp are perfect for an adjustable tarp strap, (Home Depot), that holds the tray solid. The 500 lb rated sliders run smooth as glass.

My experience with the battery box compartment is gained from having issues with two Cruisers. The battery compartments trays are not positioned low enough and the drawer slides are too feeble. Why those considerations were incorporated in the original design is anybody's guess. Leaving the compartment open to debris further suggests there wasn't much design effort.
I modified the battery compartment height on the first cruiser to provide adequate clearance for the battery posts. I lowered the tray to allow 6v Marine batteries.
The second, which is my current PC, needs battery compartment attention to replace the drawer slides. I am going to lower the tray and install new drawer slides. The prior owner had installed 12v batteries to solve the clearance problem. The tray slides bind. When forced open with the amount of extreme effort necessary, expelling the tray is a frequent hazard. The stops are broken and unrepairable.
There is an alternative offered by their successor that I think Phoenix Cruiser should consider

The more I search the more I think it’s regional. I’ve physically checked local Sam’s clubs and they don’t carry them or offer to order them. Could be some other areas in my state do but I’m not driving hundreds of miles looking for batteries
