Ford Warranty - E-Series Cutaway Chassis Warranty

I called Ford Motor Home Customer Assistance Center (1-800-444-3311) today for the definitive answer on when the warranty provided by Ford Motor Company starts on the E-Series Cutaway Chassis.

There are two start times for the warranty.

The first start time is when the chassis is sold to the motor home manufacturer.

The second start time and the more important one is when the chassis is titled to the first retail customer.  An addendum will be issued to restart the warranty from the beginning on the date the chassis was sold to the retail customer.

If a chassis/motor home has been owned by a manufacturers for a period longer than the original Ford Warranty I would contact Ford Motor Company to check on a warranty.

B-S:

Your discovery makes perfect sense  and I appreciate your dilligent work  but what i worry about is what is the trigger that starts the new owner warranty since I did niot get anything from PC with my 2010 E-450 and Ford still has in their vehicle file PC being the warranty holder.  Who, what, when does the paper work get filed?  Is the burden on the new owner to show "proof of purcahse" otherwise the clock just keeps ticking?  Thanks, R.A.G.
