Morning!
I’m this close to buying a 2019 2351D from Carolina Coach and Camper. Inside and out it’s in very good condition, as it should be because of the very low mileage and care the previous owners took of the coach.
The only potential issue that I see is the fiberglass roof. In several spots there are blisters where the fiberglass is not firmly attached to the substrate. The seller tells me the roof is fine, his service manager tells me it looks better than most new roofs he brings in ( to be fair, the sealant around the intrusion points is very well done), what I’m interested in is hearing what you owners think based on your experience with these coaches.

I've owned 3 Phoenix Cruisers over the past 8 years. Every one was an upgrade in size and age. They all had similar issues with areas of the fiberglass roof separating from the roof substrate board. But none proved to be an issue. The worst one I owned was a 2005 2351 that came from Texas. Very little of the fiberglass remained glued down. I think the separation is caused from the adhesive breaking down from heat/sun. But never a leak.

Thanks for the insight. I've looked back through the archives and I don't see a lot of concerns about this issue, so I'm assuming the roof will be fine.

The 2018 2552 I bought last year had some minor roof issues. Rather than worrying about my roof I had it coated with Flex Armor. Covered the skylight in the bathroom that does little except turn the bathroom into a hot house and it is an area prone to leaks. It goes from the back to the front and down onto the fiberglass cab cap. On the sides it covers the screws and molding. The edge visible from below is dark grey to match the paint scheme and the top is bright white. Tough stuff with a life time warranty. Can even walk over the skylight. It is cooler and quieter than before. The piece of mind and no maintenance make it well worth it.
